IGN gave it 9.5 [http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/119/1199705p1.html].
GameTrailers gave it 9.3 [http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-hd-batman-arkham/722267?]
Gamespot gave it 9.0 [http://au.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/batman-arkham-city/review.html?tag=updates%3Blatest%3Ball%3Btitle%3B2]

Very nice.

It will definitely be added to my collection ASAP... but I already knew that, really.

Feel free to link to any more reviews that pop up.

Edit: Now the question becomes... do I buy the PS3 version or the PC version (DirectX 11 support, $10 cheaper, I'd be using my PS3 controller anyway)? Anyone have any thoughts?

Already pre-ordered. I'm very interested to see how the more open world compared with Arkham Asylum's closed world gameplay.

Aaaaaaaaaah, I have to wait for the PC release! God damn, I really want this game. I already knew the game would be awesome, I mean how could it not be? Maybe my mate will get lucky and be able to afford the PS3 version...

So our faith in Rocksteady has been rewarded is what you're saying?
I was already pretty certain that this game would be good. Arkham Asylum was a great game that was an obvious labor of love. So, I'm not surprised that the sequel is turning out great, too. The general rule of thumb is that the developer learns from previous experience and makes a superior game on the technical side. The story might not be as good, but that remains to be seen. And personally, I didn't like the story in Arkham Asylum all that much. Great game, but I was disappointed in the Joker's actual plot and the ending. So, I'm hoping it's better this time around.

I'll buy it after my SAT IIs in December. I'm putting myself on gaming probation until that's done.
This is going to be a very entertaining Christmas.

I had to choose between this and Dark Souls and I chose Dark Souls, purely because I'd probably still be playing it by the time Skyrim is released. I loved Arkham Asylum, and this game does look incredible, so I will be getting it for Christmas hopefully.

I don't know if this was already common knowledge, but FYI, from IGN's review, you won't get Catwoman if you buy a used copy:
Leading up to Batman: Arkham City, Rocksteady talked a lot about the Catwoman missions in the game -- that 10 percent of Arkham City was all about Selina Kyle. Well, it turns out that content isn't included on the disc. If you buy the game new, it comes with a one-time use code to download the Catwoman content. Used copies will most likely have the code snatched up and you'll need to buy the DLC off Xbox Live or the PlayStation Store.

I hadn't planned on picking it up, but my new compy's vija cards each came with a free copy code. one for me, one for my bud who assisted in making the computer.

all the info for it has gotten me fairly excited.

Will pick it up eventually, but with the upcoming Uncharted 3, Skyrim and the not yet purchased Dark Souls, L.A Noire and Infamous 2 I'll be kind of busy. >.<

Ah, I see - positive reviews are clearly only paid and untrustworthy if they're for a mainstream game like Call of Duty.

Hypocrisy. Hypocrisy EVERYWHERE.
