Cannot. Wait.

So, here is the trailer that shows a new assassin for Batman to deal with...Firefly who as u can see, uses fire as a weapon.

So now we know that Deadshot (Who was in Arkham City) Bane, Joker (Who have been in all the Arkham games) Copperhead (Was originally a male Character, but DC have decided to change that) Deathstroke (Main villain in Teen Titans...Slade anyone?) and now Firefly are the assassins to go up against Batman.

However we know that there will be another 2 to go against him. Any idea's guys?

Mad Hatter and "A hacker" have also been confirmed, no idea if they are the other 2 Assassins though.

Onto the trailer, looks pretty cool tbh, the voices definitely work for a younger Batman and Joker, glad to see WB made good choices. The only thing i don't understand is Bane...He was huge in AA and AC...or was that just cause of Titan? Meh, time will tell i suppose.

Anyone else not care about this game at all? I liked Arkham Asylum and City but I just can't seem to give a shit about this game at all.

Boy you must be a riot at parties.

OT: I thought Firefly was confirmed weeks ago? I dunno, so much media about this game, I'm burnt. Looking forward to this game regardless, hopefully it'll be good.
Eh batman games aren't really a party topic.

I laughed.

OT: Looking forward to this game. And yeah, I'd imagine this game's Bane is just hopped up on Venum, where as Titan was basically super Venom.

As for the assassins, if Joker is being counted as one of them, I wouldn't be surprised if they were counting Hatter as one as well...though considering how completely looney he is (even crazier than Joker), it's hard to see him taking a job as a hit man. I mean what the hell is he gonna do with $50K? Buy more hats, I guess....

YES. This looks absolutely perfect. Got to say, with the dire lack of decent Batman cartoons since the early 2000s and the boooring movies, these games have been the best source for pure Bat-entertainment for years, and while I was wary of this at first, it looks utterly perfect.

Even the guys doing Joker and Batman's voices seem good.

Looks awesome. Can't wait either. I love the premise of the game about a still less experienced Batman. The previous Arkham games are some of my favorite games this gen, and I have a feeling this one isn't going to disappoint either.

Yeah basically.
I mean, I'm sure it'll be good, and I'll certainly get it... eventually. But as I always say in threads about this game, does anyone give a shit about Batman's origins any more? 'Cos I just want all those loose threads at the end of City to be wrapped up.

They better not do any bullshit like they did with catwomen I mean I preordered the game and bought the special addition but because I don't have xbox live I wasn't able to enter the code and ended up wasting my money

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. While I'm sure this'll be another good Batman game, I can't see it beings as much of a "Must Buy!" for me as Arkham City was. City still left a lot of things from Asylum unresolved, as well as introducing new things that didn't see resolution. Things like Azrael's message, Scarecrow's mask/radio stations/hidden boat, Hush, Clayface, and the disappearance of Ra's Al Ghul. If the next game were to answer some of those questions I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but being a prequel to Asylum doesn't soak my loins as much.

I reckon they're testing the waters with Origins being developed by a new studio. If it does well, they'll make a sequel to City answering all those questions.

I personally think the concept is actually very sound. You play as Batman, the ninja with near infinite resources and intelligence, and you're being sought by 8 (I think it's 8) assassins who present their own unique challenges.

I guess my point is it doesn't look like another shitty prequel.

I'm still not sure why they're having a different studio develop this, they had a winning formula with the last two games. Why fix what isn't broken?

I don't give a shit about Batman's origins, but I just had so much damned fun playing the last two games. I'm not that bothered by the story in this series at all really, as with one notable exception it's pretty standard stuff: bat-enemies escape, get punched in the face, then the status quo is resumed by the end in time for the next installment.

I loved Asylum/City for the gameplay. Improvements are nice and we should always be striving to raise the bar, but here I honestly don't care if this is essentially more of the same. So long as the new studio doesn't fuck it up I'll happily slap down the cash for this.

Cool, Firefly is a good opponent. I still can't believe they're gonna have Black Mask be the real villain, it'll turn out to really be Joker all over again. Is there another Batman villain with cool powers he could hire to be the final boss that I'm forgetting?

I usually buy the batman games when they are on special. I find them to be rediculously awesome but with zero replay incentive. Even the staged point stuff with extra content gets boring and repetitive and we all know that batmman is about the story/struggle.

Still The last few badguys are going to be the Riddler and most likely Catwoman. Considering all the puzzles ect, riddler is a good choice and catwoman because they need to introuce a token female character somehow.

They already did. They made Copperhead female. Still, one or two female more wouldn't hurt.

While I loved Arkham City's Catwoman, I do think they should give some lesser known ladies a go. Maybe Lady Shiva, top assassin for hire and master martial artist capable of taking on Batman, but maybe that's too similar to Deathstroke[footnote]Whose boss fight I hope they make hard as balls[/footnote].

Or ... Andrea Beaumont aka the Phantasm. If done well, it would make for some really dramatic moments. Not sure how they would work her into the game tho.
