When Wayne is not Batman. That is when he is not awesome. He is just Batman. He is Nightwing in a Batman suit.Julianking93 said:There has never and will never be a time when Batman is not awesome.

I'm glad my grumpy thoughts were voiced by someone else...The Infamous Scamola said:Oh, and off-topic, could people please stop putting "Discuss" at the end o their OPs? I don't need you to tell me what I'm supposed to do in a thread, it's already pretty much heavily implied that you want people to discuss your topic.
This. Batman Arkham Asylum and the Dark Knight have very good chances of being game and movie of the year. So thats why its become so popular. Hell even Ive started reading the old comics because of the movie and game.Baby Tea said:I think Batman has always had a good fanbase, but the recent movies, and awesome game, have helped the Dark Knight reach a younger, newer audience.
Uh, Superman?SnootyEnglishman said:Batman is the only person to come out of DC that's had a distinct popularity amongst the comic nerds. With the movie coming out his awesomeness extended beyond that group
Wonder Woman. Linda Carter rocked that shit like a thunder storm. Man, she is still the hotness. Sky High, nuff said.Nigh Invulnerable said:Uh, Superman?SnootyEnglishman said:Batman is the only person to come out of DC that's had a distinct popularity amongst the comic nerds. Really though, DC comics seems to have a pretty poor track record for producing memorable characters that aren't Batman or Superman.
Agreed. Batman has been awesome ever since Kane and Finger created him. Even the cheesy 60's batman was awesome in his own way.AmrasCalmacil said:Batman has always been awesome.
Questions?
My point still stands. Wonder Woman is pretty decent, but nowhere near as popular as Batman, let alone the huge stable of Marvel characters. Admittedly, a ton of the popular Marvel heroes all came from the X-men franchise, but there's still Spiderman, Hulk, and Iron Man (mostly due to the movie recently). DC characters tend more towards the Golden Age of idealism and simplicity of character. Superman doesn't have inner turmoil (very often). Batman is the most tormented and deep DC character that I'm aware of, but he fits in easily with most of the X-men, Spiderman, and Tony Stark in that department.axia777 said:Wonder Woman. You mean when Dick Grayson became Batman? I never read those.axia777 said:When Wayne is not Batman. That is when he is not awesome. He is just Batman. He is Nightwing in a Batman suit.Julianking93 said:There has never and will never be a time when Batman is not awesome.
They are the new Batman comics. Wayne supposedly died and Grayson took over. It is bullshit. Wayne is not dead. They are just doing the BS maneuver like when they killed Superman way back in the 90's. It is just a gimmick.Julianking93 said:You mean when Dick Grayson became Batman?
