There has never and will never be a time when Batman is not awesome.

When Wayne is not Batman. That is when he is not awesome. He is just Batman. He is Nightwing in a Batman suit.

They are the new Batman comics. Wayne supposedly died and Grayson took over. It is bullshit. Wayne is not dead. They are just doing the BS maneuver like when they killed Superman way back in the 90's. It is just a gimmick.

But, thats just one of those certain comics that some people go from and some don't. Like when Barbra was shot and became Oracle. Some people choose to write from that story and others decided to keep her as Batgirl.

But I wouldn't want anyone to be Batman except Bruce. Although, I did like Batman Beyond. Probably because Bruce Wayne was still alive.

what about the blue beetle, Lobo, Tommy Monaghanor ( Hitman ), any of the green lantern's or the coolest character in comic book history Spider Jerusalem ? All of them were DC all of them were pretty cool

Im sorry that is complete bull in everyway it sounds like you have never picked up a comic book before and are basing this entirley upon the recent films. There are many well respected Dc comic book characters, and im sure my fellow comic book nerds will back me up with this.

I think Batman has always had a good fanbase, but the recent movies, and awesome game, have helped the Dark Knight reach a younger, newer audience.

Anyway on to round 2, more cool comic characters V (V for Vendetta), Morpheus (Sandman), John Constantine (Hellblazer), Jesse Custer (Preacher), Alec Holland (Swamp Thing)and Yorick Brown (Y: The Last Man). Please say you have heard of at least one of them.
