I'm interested. It will depend on the microtransaction issue.
This game is going to have microtransactions? Or is that what you think will be in this game because of EA's recent insertion of it in Dead Space 3?

Wouldn't surprise me if it did happen.

I haven't seen anything specific relating to BF4. But EA keeps talking about it in general and it's giving a bad vibe.

This series is still very popular, and while it's single player is a pathetic 4 hour spunkgargleweewee, its multiplayer is very different from the spunkgargleweewee formula, and is the sole reason that this franchise is popular.

I personally don't care about BF4, but I understand those who do.

Personally? I'm just pissed that I forked out for premium so I could get the DLC cheaper, that I would've bought anyway, because I really did like battlefield 3, and then they announced battlefield 4, which will surely kill battlefield 3's multiplayer.

And thus it becomes a yearly update game. A multiplayer yearly update game. Which doesn't work out as value for money to me. So unless it becomes evident that it's stopped, I'm pretty much not going to buy this, or any other battlefield game for the forseeable future.

Sure, I know this means precisely jack shit to EA, but I just personally aren't going to waste my money on yearly update multiplayer games. I mean, for fucks sake, this would actually make COD the preferable "modern warfare" online game. Why? Because at least I've always found the single player in those games fun in a dumb popcorn action movie kind of way. Sure, it's no classic, at least not past world at war, but at least I'd be left with something after everyone's fucked off to the new game, rather than the rat stabbing borefest that was battlefield 3's single player.

Without a strong single player element, a full priced yearly update game is damn near useless to me.

It would appear quite a lot of people care and for good reason. Battlefield 3 was one of the best shooters in years, I've had so much fun on it and it's DLC support has been most impressive, constantly refreshing.

So yes, I'm very excited for Battlefield 4.
