Sure, but again, where will the complaining get you? It's not going to stop the fans from buying it, it's not going to make the developers suddenly change everything, and it's not going to stop the publisher from moving back the release date.Owyn_Merrilin said:The big problem here is Battlefield is not and never was aimed at the kind of gamer who wants a campaign. This is that rare case where the publisher really is tacking on a needless mode in an attempt to get people outside of their target audience to buy it, diverting resources away from the main point of the game in the process. It just happens to be in the reverse from the usual complaints about this sort of practice.Racecarlock said:Cue the endless bitching about games clearly not aimed at them.
Look, some people just want to shoot stuff. Be happy with the good games you get and try to get other developers to make the games you want. Bitching about this won't help any of you. People will still buy it. Take comfort in the good developers you do have.
I think it would be better for us all if we just started showing battlefield a large measure of apathy. Because that's what it's been doing to you guys. We all like to think we have influence, but this isn't a big forum. Some indie developers might listen to us, and I know thrikr33n works in the industry, but we're not going to get them to change the single player gameplay. We aren't.
So why care? Couldn't this time be spent looking up information on games you're looking forward to?
