I am most pleased by this news. A game that was dead in the water after a major publisher (Sega, in this case) passed on funding gets a second chance at life? Nintendo gets a bombshell announcement and a killer 3rd-party exclusive for the Wii U? Nintendo shows the core gaming group that they are willing to throw money at a somewhat-beloved "hardcore" IP that they wouldn't have touched with a 10-foot pole not even 6 years ago? I think everyone really wins in this situation.
Granted, the exclusivity to the system that is a successor to a system that Bayonetta 1 was never on is rather odd and a bit off-putting, but if the choice was between this being the case and Bayonetta 2 never existing at all, I'm sure we can be glad that the game is getting a chance to exist.
Boy, Platinum Games really must be working 24/7 as of late, though, huh? With Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Anarchy Reigns set for early next year, and now not one, but TWO high-profile Wii U exclusives in the works with The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2, they have quite a few projects going right now. I'm glad to see more titles from these guys, but damn. What a workload.
