but when Nintendo does something like this and tries to make something that the fans don't expect, then all you hear is "GAH! I hate Nintendo now and forever! You won't see me picking up Nintendo again because they didn't do exactly as I wanted them to do!"

PROTIP: anybody who supposedly loves brawlers and is upset that they will need to purchase a Nintendo console in order to play a video game that will most probably be the new epitome of its genre, and the game every other game in its genre will be compared to; is NOT a true fan of video games; is NOT a true fan of Bayonetta; thusly has no buisness posting in this thread; and was NEVER someone whou would have purchased a Nintendo console in the first place.

In other words: the genre will thrive without those cretins -hell, Nintendo already does-, and Bayonetta 2 will only be played by people with actual love towards video games.

I certainly didn't buy into Nintendo for its brawlers, I've been a fan since the NES and wasn't really into multiplayer games at all, I play video games to have fun and to be able to experience the creativity of others, and although I have Bayonetta, it was really just to see the apparent sexism that a certain youtuber tried to proclaim a few months ago
So I'd have to say you're wrong about me in your entire post unless of course you're point wasn't directed at me

If you only played Bayonetta for its cutscenes and were unable to enjoy the game for what it is then this discusion doesn't apply to you in the first place now, does it?

I didn't play it just for its cutscenes, I wanted to understand fully why Sarkeesian (don't know if that's right) said it was sexist, and while I recall doing similar gameplay in DMC it still had different aspects about it that I enjoyed but can't quite recall, so while I may not be a raging fan over the game I can still say it was good of Nintendo to pick up something that so many others were willing to let go and might possibly bring new fans to it (the game and the company)

This is what the Wii-U needed some exclusive third party titles that aren't just ports with some extra content. Let's just hope Sega doesn't go the route Capcom went when RE4 was released for the gamecube and start making word of porting it which caused Shinji Mikami to leave.

So Nintendo saves the Bayonetta 2 sequel by funding it. Quite fairly, Nintendo would want to have it exclusive. In turn, gamers decide they don't want to buy it and hate both Nintendo and platinum despite Nintendo saving the sequel.

I can under stand a bit of disappointment of not being able to buy it for their current console, but the gamers are acting way too butt-hurt like Nintendo killed their puppy and ran over it's body repeatedly. It's pathetic and absolutely hilarious the way they are acting. This is an example of why no one respects us.
