I'm gonna turn this around.
My boyfriend? Sort of. We met on WoW, so that might seem like the hardest hurdle already jumped, and I guess that's true. Unfortunately, though he plays WoW and the occasional SP RPG, he's not really a "gamer" and not really into the culture. For my part, I quit WoW.
He appreciates that he has a gamer girlfriend, and loves that I'm nerdy in all sorts of ways. But he doesn't understand why I want a PS3 when we both have good gaming rigs already. He doesn't know anything about upcoming or recent games (except TOR, because it's Star Wars). Though we met because of a game, we have no real common gaming ground, so we never talk about it much and game seperately.
Fortunately, we both enjoy other things, too. In particular, we like the same movies and books. It works well.
