Mother Brain, Sephiroth, Bison, Bowser, The Evil Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt? We've been taking out these SOBs for decades now. Which one still stands out as the one you took most glee in finishing off?

I'd have to say I've never been so happy as beating Ruby Weapon FFVII, but killing the Conqueror in Last Remnant had me grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

What's your greatest sense of gaming satisfaction come from?

Defeating Sephiroth, and also the Weeping Queen in Vindictus solo. Those are my 2 great accomplishments.

The one that always come to mind is Sephiroth.

But not in FF7.

In Kingdom Heart 1 & 2.

Out of all my friends at the time, I was the only guy who ever defeated him in both games.

He's really easy in the second, if you ask me...But the first was terribly difficult.

Yeah, first was definately harder.

The problem with the second one, was that I got used to relying on the different forms, and since Donald and Goofy aren't with you, you can't use them.

Problem with the second one, is that when you reached 99, he was ridiculously easy. The first one it didn't matter what level you were, he was just gunna smack you around till you were dead.

Both times, Giygas, in EB0 and EB. No other story or boss has given me satisfaction like Giygas.

Ah, well I didn't overlevel just to beat him. I tried to beat him the first time I enountered him.

I don't know, around level 40-50?

At the end of Fallout: New Vegas, I sided with the NCR and leveled up just after I reached the Legate's Camp. On a whim, I set my Speech skill to 100 with the spare skill points I had. 5 minutes later, I talked down Legate Lanius and convinced him to turn around and take the entire Legion home from the Hoover Dam. That felt awesome.

Yiazmat in Final Fantasy XII.
He had 50,000,000-ish HP. WTF.

I was just so happy when I eventually killed him. I remember setting my gambits then walking away and letting the fight play itself out.... Only to come back later and find my leader had died so I had to select a new one (effectively pausing the battle >:S).

It took a long long time, and the long-winded reward was not really worth it, but the bragging rights back then were epic. I was the only one out of my group of friends to kill him. I also did most of the damage at around level 50-ish.

I was also pretty happy when I killed Omega Weapon in Final Fantasy VIII (pro-tip, everyone says to use holy wars to become invincible, that way his Terra Break cannot hurt you.... Use the Defend command instead....). Many people have a hard time with him, but in that particular playthrough I mangled him pretty hard :D

I don't think no one can top Shadow of the Colossus. The boss fights are pretty much the main part of the game, unless you like the juxtaposing navigation parts which are very good as well.

To me the most satisfaction I get from killing a boss is from soloing (or almost) a tank in vs for L4D or L4d2

The Boss in MGS3.
I mean, her story did tear me up inside, but the boss fight was amazing.
And when Snake Eater kicked in halfway through...
Oh man.

Here's that music, for anyone interested...

Wesker from Resident Evil 5 was a pain in the ass to beat, so him, along with old What's-his-Name from Resident Evil 4, who was actually pretty easy, but awesome nonetheless.

TheDarklite:

Massive respect for beating Yiazmat, didnt have the time nor skill to get it done. Beat Ozma in FFIX though laughing and very very drunk.

Couldnt you just use Triple and float to avoid Terra break with Omega? Think Lv5 death works too! Quistis was the *****. What a great game, pity Squenix have gone for FFX remake. Boo...

Beating some of wow's original raid bosses' even with the simple mechanics involed in the fights the sheer amount of coordination and effort needed to down somthing with a group of fourty people was quite fun.

The Boss from MGS3 stamina kill.
Ares from GoD1 on the hardest difficulty available at the start.
Some of the end game raid bosses in WoW, even though I didn't get too far.
I'm sure I've fought some insanely hard bosses I can't remember. Probably because they weren't that big of an achievement.

That would have to be Daos in Lufia (Estpolis 2). I was a bit younger at the time and defeating four bosses in a row made me feel incredibly epic. Though more recently I mus say I was having a major adrenaline rush when I beat the plant thing in Bulletstorm.
