Beer and the struggles we face.

Nova Scotian here. Keith's or nothing. Budweiser tastes a bit watered down, Stella Artois lager and light beer are for girls. I've always wanted to taste Red Irish ale, though. Anyone ever went to U.S. and had their beer? Christ sake, that stuff's weak.

Check your facts, man. American beer, unlike it's it's mans, are not all created equally. Look not upon the Miller, Coors, or Budweiser, for such deceivers shall lead you astray. Look instead to Shiner, or Widmer Brothers, or Rahr and Sons, or Saint Arnold, or maybe even Sam Adams, if you are in a hurry, for there is the promised land of quality beer.

That said, Balticka, Guinness, Killians, and Molson have a dedicated place in my stomach, and fridge. Tsingtao is pretty tasty, though distinct. Honestly, if it's a red or a stout, of any kind, I'm happy. I tend to keep away from IPAs, though.

I've always wanted to try out Blue Moon as well. The other beers we've tasted(we always drink a 24-pack to try) and we were disappointed with most of them. Only stuff we really liked was Blue Moon and Pussy Cat (or something like that...........)

Being a resident of North Carolina in the good ole US of A, I prefer a local beer that is made a few hours from where I live. Natty Greene's is the particular brewing establishment and their Pale Ale is my particular vice of choice. Also a fan of Maker's Mark whiskey.

Yes. Know what I love most about rum? I spent $50 on Tortuga and brought home 20 bottles of the stuff. The rum will never be gone.

Now this is a good fucking beer:

I usually stick to the stronger stuff, but I can't resist one of those. For hot summer days I sure don't mind an ice cold Hertog Jan Weizener, Hoegaarden or a simple Jupiler either. But I'd rather have me one of those.

Trappist beer is amazing. If it wasn't so expensive it would be all I drink. I had a Rochefort 10 and that was easily the best I've had.

Generally though I like Sam Adams Boston Lager and Blue Moon. They have enough taste while being reasonably priced. I can drink anything except for IPAs, even terrible American Adjunct Lagers. All the IPAs I've had have been so bitter that I can't taste anything else.

Coopers Pale Ale or Best Extra Stout are my local favorites, however in the height of summer I enjoy a Hoegaarden or two (forgive me Belgians I know there is better, but it is the only readily available wheat beer in Australia).

I would, but I get my moonshine the only proper way: from a cousin of mine who who knows a guy who lives in the woods and operates his own still. Yes it is given in Mason jars. Moonshine cannot be obtained in any other fashion, legal or otherwise. Just doesn't seem right.

Burleigh Hef (a brilliant Australian wheat beer) is the best wheat beer in the world according to the San Diego beer awards and is quite readily available and cheaper than hoegaarden (which is a 'Wit' beer.

When I was still in school, back in the US, I would usually just buy what ever crazy beer caught my eye with great success. I enjoyed Avery's Kaiser Beer (both the beer and its ridiculous label), one of the He'brew's (but which one I am unsure of now) and the few times I convinced myself I could afford it Old Rasputin, which I think is made by North Coast brewing.

Mmmm.....beer. I'll drink pretty much anything from the Spoetzl Brewery, makers of all things Shiner. I'm always up for trying something new, too. It's pretty cool....I know a guy that owns a liquor store so he has all kinds of different beers for me to try. It's almost overwhelming. Still, my favorite beer is a tie between Warsteiner Dunkle and this:

Żubrówka is by far my favourite drink, closely followed by JD, Sake and Hobgoblin.

Other than that I like a good ale, tend to avoid beer unless its the 2% stuff on hot days/doing DIY.
