Drop in, drop out co-op I'm all for it. I honestly don't know why Bethesda hasn't gotten in on it. I personally find some parts of the game get kind of loney/drag on.
At least with fallout you can listen to the radio and what not and that keeps you mildly entertained, but the elder scrolls can get eerily quiet and somewhat tedious when you're plowing through dungeons.
Multiplayer, nah, no real point to it.

Odds are they'll save that for a later game as market hype, it's not a big mystery as to why they haven't done it yet.

Game could use coop, but not multiplayer really. The game's story is shallow enough that co-op wouldn't really ruin anything, but the interactivity of the game would cause too much problems for full multiplayer.

Skyrim with Neverwinter Nights style persistent worlds? That I could do.
Pretty much this. If this mod allows players to end up making their own persistant worlds ala Neverwinter Nights (With the creation kit i think it would be doubly possible) than it could be pretty awesome.

I'm surprised Bioware didn't add the Neverwinter Style of Multiplayer to the Dragon Age games..but that's another debate for another thread.

I would be okay with a co-op environment with 1-3 other people, but otherwise I want to keep the multiplayer away from my Elder Scrolls.

MMO with character controlled time-slowing mechanism does not mix.
Odds are they they would rework it in a clever way, kinda like what Red Dead Redemption did.

Also this is pretty amazing. Once they get it worked out I'll probably give it a try.

Please make this for Fallout 3... My life would be complete, ahaha. An MMO... terrible idea, but co-op would be amazing. Imagine having a useful companion.

Some modders did pretty much this for GTA: San Andreas. If it turns out anything like that multiplayer mod this thing will be fantastic (people still play the multiplayer GTA:SA)

I don't understand is this like a single open server that anyone can join like a normal MMORPG? Or does this just let you set up a (private) server so that your buddies can drop into your game and play with you? Cause the latter is PERFECTLY FINE. In fact it's fucking awesome! Co-op Skyrim would be insanely fun. I approve.
You have too much faith in your friends.

I'd enjoy a drop in drop out co-op system like dead island in the game, and maybe even some pvp, as in you sign into an arena battle and all battles take place there 1v1 2v2 whatever. As for MMO, I don't think it'd work well in skyrim, 4 players at one time max I think.

But honestly, I'm not sure that I would want multiplayer clogging up my Skyrim What do you guys think? Would you download a multiplayer mod? Should Bethesda include multiplayer in their Elder Scroll games or is singleplayer enough for you?
What do I think? Well, I'm sure you're all very nice people (well, most of you people on the Internet, anyway ^_^ ), but "please stay out of my Elder Scrolls game" would adequately sum up what I think. The Elder Scrolls has always been a solitary experience for me, since day one (and I've been playing TES games since Arena), and I couldn't imagine having to share that with other players. Not to mention that the TES games would kinda lose their flavor if you had thousands of Dovahkiins, Nerevarines or Champions of Cyrodiil running around. It's my feeling that it would cheapen the experience.
Heck, I can barely tolerate followers, and even then, only because they provide extra storage space for my loot!
Not to mention that if TES games are buggy now, bringing them online would probably crash the Internet. Or bring on the Apocalypse or something.
In the end, I'm mostly a single player gamer kind of a girl in the end: I mostly play games which I can pause, or quit at a moment's notice for RL reasons. (Although I *do* miss playing TF2 with the Escapist UK server crowd [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC], they're an awesome bunch.)

I doubt this will work.. I can only see the online players shouting at each other time and time again. Everyone pushing each other of mountains and cliffs..

But I most say I love the creativity presented with this mod, shows great promise indeed for january!

Bethesda should definitely try and make this official. I would start playing Skyrim in a heartbeat if it was co-op.

Greg, that's the beauty of mods. You choose whether or not you want them installed.

Wow, that's a lot of future guardsmen...

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I've had enough run-ins with loot-hoarding thieving buggers in Baldur's Gate and Diablo to have been totally put off the idea of multiplayer RPGs. Thank God this is only a mod, because if Bethesda had decided to actually build this into the game proper that would have been enough to turn me off Skyrim completely.

Seems like a good idea...However it's only good if it remains unofficial otherwise it would radically undermine how the game is designed.

While I'm severely annoyed by the always-present multiplayer in modern day games, a nice Co-op option in Skyrim wouldn't be a bad addition.
