Truthfully I can never make myself at like a jerk in games. I just feel to bad after I say or do something mean.

I don't tend to play many rpg's but in most games I'll try to be the good guy. Obviously, thats impossile in something like gta 4, but even then I'll try to be a decent guy. For example, I couldn't kill Dwayne, coz all my moral values went against killing a poor dude with a baseball bat.
Sam thing applies with Bioshock. After seeing the Little sister scrambling for help, I couldn't possibly harvest her. She was just to cute and innocent to kill :(

Perhaps I let my soft side invade games a little too much :/

It's a game, I don't view them as moral dilemas as per say, just story twists and amusement xD If that makes me a bad person then so be it.

I always play the good character on my first play through, but i've noticed that this usually ends up on me mission out on loot which makes me extremely sad as i love loot in all its forms. However after i've completed the game (Or if someone in game REALLLY annoys me) then its rampage time!

So ive sort of come to realize while playing through multiple RPGs that i usually always play as the nice guy out to help people (well mostly cept for a baby here or there). My first playthrough on Mass Effect I was full paragon, trying to be as good as possible. I am now playing through it again as a renegade and i find it hard to play as a complete and total dick. I mean the girl just lost her whole squad and Im supposed to tell her that she sucked and let em all die? I mean I just feel as though when Im done playing through the game, sure I will have saved everyone but they will all also hate me at the same time. It sort of defeats the purpose of playing the good guy. Anyone else have weird issues with certain moral dilemmas in games?
It's not fun for me being a dick either. I can't immerse myself in the world that way.

Dragon Age does have some hilarious being a dick dialogue options though:

Cammon : (pining after a female Elf) I'm not sure I should tell you though, you wouldn't understand...'

You: 'Just tell me before I kick your head in'

I usually play through good the first time, then evil the second. Evil playthroughs aren't as enjoyable because 90% of the time, it's a case of being evil for the sake of evil, with no real motivation and comes across as completely unrealistic. Sometimes it's not like that, but usually it is.

Generally I'm always good. Even when trying to take a more neutral approach I end up leaning towards good acts. Generally, I find no enjoyment in being evil.

The only games were I was evil were Infamous(no, fuck you world, I've got lightning powers!)
and Fable 2(kick my dog will you? Well I've got LIGHTNING POWERS!).

Let me recall what items I've stolen on my (only) fallout 3 character...
Erm...
.........
A big book of science.
[sub]It was so I could open a hard terminal without having to farm monsters because I just leveled. >.<[/sub]

Yeah, you can guess what Alignment I am.

On my last play through of Mass Effect I aimed to be neutral, having a balance of both Paragon and Renegade decisions. A ruthless character that ultimately did what was right.

I ended up with nearly full Paragon points.

So yeah, I have trouble being a dick in video games. I just don't like being a jerk. Even when I try to do it I still feel bad about. I suppose it's the mark of a good game when the developers actually make you care about how you treat the NPCs. Or maybe I'm just a massive pansy. Probably the latter.
Nah, believe me, being evil in Fallout 3 for me was extremely difficult for those reasons, in that there is some serious shit going on and the game is done well enough that you really feel the characters.

I had a similar problem in Fallout 3. Might've been because I'd decided to make the choices I thought I would, but I couldn't bring myself to just murder somone (unless it was a Raider or Slaver). It just seemed unnatural for me to play through a game like that in that way.

Though I don't have a problem with it in Saint's Row 2, but I guess that's a different thing altogether.

No.

I'm always the good guy and help everyone I can.

I tried to go on a rampage in Fallout 3, but it was too depressing. I killed the Merchants outside of Megaton and when their Brahmen started to protect them, I just couldn't do it anymore.

I felt sad that I'm just randomly killing someone
What are you gay? I blew up megaton at lvl 4 and killed everyone on rivet city after the enclave pushed the science team out. IT was easy. Speacially that explosion that megaton made Ha Fucking beautiful.

Sims Son: You killed my father!
I shoot him in the face, he wont die... >.>

You know dough i MADE SHURE i killed everyone from the church of atom with a flame thrower before blowing the town up. those cultist bastards where gonna die directly by my hand.

Somehow my Karma meter dictates my actions. If I start evil, no matter what I do, I get more evil. If I start good, I end up more good.

In fallout 3, this was because I killed all the alien workers, which made me evil then the regulators attack me, and apparently self defence is evil, even though no-one can say a single evil act I did (no-one in the wasteland knows about the spaceship incident)

A friend of mine decided to go through Fallout 3 as a badass renegade-guy, he still brags about how he killed a whole republic, The Republic of Dave that is, there are about 10 inhabitants.

A lot of times being "evil" just means being tool or messing up the game for yourself. Like if I was evil fake being good as much as I could. The thing that bothers me the most is when you do something evil and nobody sees but they still know somehow. They should have how evil you really are and how evil you are publicly.
