(New) Doctor who anyone? I like the show itself but it has felt so dripfeed-y the past few years I've given up on it more than once regardless. Simply because by the time a new season starts I've forgotten how the last even ended.

Yeah I know what you mean. I watched some of the old Doctor Who in reruns when I was younger and when the new one came about I started watching it right from the start. The past 3 series have been just bad, the latest one so much so I've given up on the series.

And let's not get started on JoJo.

And what about it? Araki hasnt missed a deadline in over 30 years, and its been a monthly serial ever since Steel Ball Run.

The Manga, sure, but the anime had a 6 year gap, then a 5 year gap, then another 5 year gap and finally a year long period between releases (though that last one is at least normal for a series, even if it was a literal year between the end of one and the start of another).

Well, considering what happened to the big shounen franchises, i prefer the long years of no anime to whats currently happening with Naruto and One Peice, which at this point are only there to make sure they dont lose thier prestigious time slots.

Besides, you cant say it wasnt worth the wait. Now i just wish they would announce part 4 with the almost the same frevor i wish Shaft would announce their next Monogatari adaptation.

You're thinking Ai Yazawa. Yuu Watase was Fushigi Yugi, which did have a few long breaks in its prequel series.

The Skip Beat thing does make me want to add to the bitchlist of anime that cut off well before the manga.
