So with all these games like Dark Souls and the ES series, in wondered if there were any games similar/better, due to the fact that I have completely played them out. So what game should I move onto?

This question is kind of subjective xD (As is everything, shut up, Twi)

Are you looking for something just to sink hours into or are you more of a fan of spectacle?

In either case, Dragon Age: Origins and Kingdoms of Amalur are games I'd recommend; not on the same "challenge" level as Dark Souls but a time sink if you're looking for that.

Also I tend to count like the Walking Dead Game and Zelda as such in the sense that they're "RPGs" in the simplest sense regardless of what genre they "actually" are; you can't go wrong with a good ol' round of Ocarina of Time.

yeah, it is
it's all about exploration and adventuring (so much so that there's no fucking fast travel), though weirdly enough there are no "dungeons" to do the adventuring in
and honestly, while the "playable" world itself isn't particularly great or packed with shit to see, it's all about the combat
picture a spectacle fighter version of dark souls to get the idea
the lore itself is very interesting, and it's very speculation based, you're not told much up front, you have to look for it
and it's all about game feel (for example, one of the Ranger skills makes you shoot an arrow that not only send the enemy flying and cause massive damage, but sounds like fucking heavy sniper rifle when you fire it off)

go for the Dark Arisen version, it should be pretty cheap

It has some camera issues and it doesn't level scale so you can encounter enemies that can wipe you but the combat is otherwise solid and the story does a great job of showing and not telling letting you piece together information. Also one of the best character customization in any video game.

I enjoyed but thats me.

Dragon's Dogma was one of the best RPGs of last generation,
Pokemon is always a fun choice,
Dark Souls 1 and 2, for all their flaws, have pretty cool worlds to explore,
Middle Earth: Shadow the Hedgehog or whatever is actually a lot better than I was expecting, and just wandering around is a lot of fun.

I'll also vote for Dragon's Dogma, but I will contest that while it doesn't have dungeons, it does have a few caves, forts, and a few other places that are well worth farming. The enemies have a set day-cycle spawn timer, so you cannot just enter and exit the same place to farm which I love. It also has areas that you won't know you're not supposed to be in yet until you have a colossal enemy sitting on your face.

Also, while I prefer single player games over multiplayer, the way Dragon's Dogma's pawn system works is beautiful, though it can be easily abused if you know what to look for. Basically, you create your own pawn (companion) at the start of the game and once you reach a certain point, you can hire two more pawns to accompany you. The catch is the extra pawns for hire are the pawns that other players have created. You can hire their pawn, level them up, equip them, and once you release them back to the void, it transfers all items from the pawn to the original owner (an overly-complex trade/gifting system basically). The game is a blast and it takes a long time to complete.

I would respectfully disagree, I did not come away with the same opinion about Dragon's Dogma. I did not find the story all that interesting, tedious travel, questionable mechanics, and above all, non-interesting characters and repetitiveness.

I will give credit to their prawn system though, being able to take other people's characters during your tedious and yawn filled quests was a pretty interesting idea.

I would try this game as a side-game. If you can, get it for free.

That's a distinction I've had lots of trouble with. On one hand, it's hard for me to call Zelda games RPGs. On the other hand, there are a lot of RPG elements in Zelda that the argument could easily be made that they are. I still use the ambiguous "action adventure" genre title when referring to Zelda.

OT: So yeah, I would suggest Zelda games. They are pretty different than Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls, however if you enjoy the other two, Zelda could be up your alley. The console Zelda's are the most similar to the two franchises you played, but the 2D ones can't be ignored either! I've always held the opinion that Zelda 2 is basically 8 bit Dark Souls due to the difficulty and attack pattern memorization.

I am also casting my vote for Dragons Dogma. The first few times I tried to get into this game, I really hated it, because I was traveling back and forth from the same two places every day in order to try and do quests which I had no idea whether or not I would be able to do. The process became extremely tedious, frustrating and boring and led to me giving up on the game for months.

I finally tried it again, and having a little more knowledge about the early game helped me have an absolutely fantastic experience. Great combat, great world (traveling by night and day are two seperate beasts), great amount of customization and replay value.

If it wasn't for the initial fucking tedium that the game delivered, the game would have almost universal praise from reviewers because the gameplay is solid and unique. The start of the game really is the barrier to entry.

I would recommend Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning. It has has fun combat and a colorfully designed world.

Fallout New Vegas. I can't recommend this one enough. An interesting world and equally interesting characters that populate it. Get the game of the year edition and play the Old World Blues dlc as soon as you have the appropriate level.

OP: presumably you're on a console?

Because there's always off-the-beaten-track-kinda-flawed stuff like Risen 2; the Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition is on 360 far as I'm aware.

Other than that, I hear the Gothic series (maybe barring 3) is somewhat renowned.

Like many have already said Dragon Age Origins and Kingdoms of Amalur are great games. I enjoyed both immensely. DaO has great replay value. Typically I don't replay games but I did at least 3 or 4 playthrus of DAO. There are so many different options that lead to how things unfold so it never got repetitive....except for the Fade which can get rather tedious. I always dreaded doing it again every playthrough, but it is only a minor annoyance compared to how great the rest of the game is.

FirstPersonShooter RPG :D
StarWars: Republic Commando.
You're the sqaud leader of a four person clone team with special skills. You're the leader (normal weapon) and then you have sniper, one explosive specialist and one IT guy. While shooting and blasting you lead your team at the same time giving orders in what to blow up or were the sniper should position himself etc.
It's very fun and engaging and I actually got very drawn into it, pretty short and a nice challenge. I found it for about 10? in a sale, it's for PC and pretty old so any PC can run it. (I normally don't game PC)
