Some of the worst voice acting ever comes from some of my otherwise most favourite games. The Codename: Panzers series has good voice acting for all nationalities present in the game (British troops speak in a British manner, Soviet troops speak Russian, Italian troops speak Italian, etc.), however all the hero units speak English - and very, very atrociously so. The accents on the German, Italian and Russian heroes are just painful to listen to. (On the other hand, the cutscene of the first Soviet nuclear detonation in C

Cold War had much better voice acting, but that may just be bias from me because it involved Stalin, Beria, Kruschev, Zaytsev and the other guy whose name I can't recall. But at least it's much better than the Russian accent the previous games used.) Further, Earth 2160 has voice acting that's just so bad it's horrible. Judging from the quality of the script, it's a miracle the writers actually remember to breathe, and the voice actors themselves aren't much better. The protagonist from the first campaign had exactly no personality, and I couldn't even bring myself to feel for him when I'd finished the campaign and the final cutscene played. The next campaign was even worse, you play a matriarchal faction where the soldiers and leaders are all female, and one secondary character is a supposedly 13-year-old (though he looks more like 30) super-genius. And trust me, the lines and voices wouldn't even pass muster on an
American sitcom. And that's saying something.
