Well, I have two series actually.
2. Percy Jackson and The Olympians
Thought I was the only one who liked the series, only got through 2 books but they were both good. When it comes to my pick for best book or series, I really haven't read enough to even have any clue for best book. That, and I can't remember the names of all the good ones I've read anyways so I'm out of luck.

His Dark Materials and Lord of The Rings. They just hapen to be the only series I've ever read, and the rest are individual works.

If one counts comics, I'd say Y: The Last man, and Askani Son(don't ask me why I liked it). Watchmen was rad, too.

The Sharpe series he kicks arse
That's seconded. You see the TV show? Also quite good. Sean Bean is Sharpe I believe.

But mine would probably be Conan. I mean, they don't really follow that strict of a chronological pattern, but I'll be damned if I couldn't read them over and over.
