Okay you know I'm kidding with that one. Team Fortress 2 I'd say, to all you Zelda Windwaker fanboys there's a lotta people who didn't like that game because of that whole sailing thing ruining it for us. Maybe that was just the group I hang around but it really ruined the game for us.

It's a rendering technique that's used to imitate the look of 2D cel shaded animation by replacing gradient shading with blocks of colour.

What's a cel? It's a sheet of clear acetate that pre-digital animators used to build up the various layers to each frame of animation. Cel Shading is an animation technique that puts lighting effects on seperate cels to the objects they are meant to interact with.

Easily for the charm it brings to a charmless genre, the balance it brings to an imbalanced genre, the ongoing support which is more than just "We reskinned a few maps and are now charging 15 bucks for them" not to mention the strong community support and the fact that it's just so replayable and fun. Plus it's cell-shaded to highlight not only the time period but also the unreal, wackier elements so you know at first glance that this is a game for fun and not lording your kd ratio around like a douchebag who wouldn't last 5 minutes in a real warzone.

Jet Set Radio Future. That game has so much style... it's just so fucking fun. It's probably one of the best games on the original xbox. XIII was good too; though, not in the same league as JSRF.
