But oh well I didn't think FF created it anyway, it was just a good game. Maybe I'll try Fire Emblem one day.Rodyle2 said:Fire Emblem gets credit for creating Chess Meets RPG, not FFT.BlindMessiah94 said:Yeah that lock on system in Zelda 1 and 2 were amazing...and nonexistent.sturryz said:What do you feel is the best combat system in any game?
my personally favorite is any Legend Of Zelda's, The lock on system is such an ease to use.
OT: It depends on the type of game.
For turn based RPG style, I always liked FF7's materia system. I also love Chrono Trigger's battle system because it doesn't go to a new screen. Also the double and triple techniques were a great idea.
And who can forget FFTactics, Chess meets an RPG?
As for non RPG, well Timesplitters is awesome. Max Payne was a ton of fun.
Lots of games have their own little quirks that make the combat fun.
And lots just copy paste bad controls with bad combat.
...And also the greatest game of all time.
But I am afraid you are wrong,
