What is the best deal you've ever gotten that happens to be gaming related?

I got Bioshock for $3 and both Saint's Row games for $14 on clearance at my local target.
I also got Half Life 2 for my mac for a mere dollar on steam.
Also, free Portal.

Oblivion GOTY for 20$ (When I first got my 360)
Legend of Dragoon for 16$
I've put hundreds of hours into each. By "deal" I'm balancing my hours played with what I payed for the game.
EDIT: Pokemon Crystal-530 hours played, payed 30$

I bought the Adventures of P.B. Winterbottem for 50 cents. It was a very fun time manipulation puzzle game that I got a couple hours of gameplay for the the price of a gumball :D

£3.67 For the original Deus Ex. It's now one of my all time favourite games.

I got my copy for around ten.

OT: Legend of Dragoon: ~$10.

Considering how much time I've put into it and it being one of my all time favorite games I would say that's a rockin' deal.

It would have to be either the orange box or Oblivion: GOTY. 20 and 30 dollars respectively.

Another thing they have in common. All three are in my Top 5 favorite games. Legend of Dragoon being at the top of the ones I listed. Nice to see another fan of it. Yay for bargain bins!

I got uncharted 1 and 2 for 60 dollars, I think that was pretty good since uncharted 2 was still fairly new at the time.

merits galactic reunion
$0.52

it was a spaced based game with voice acting
the story has something to do with people leaving earth to go out and colonize a planet, an accident happens and your separated completely from earth, and then you try to reestablish contact with earth, if you can find it

in the game, you gather materials, research new stuff, build up colonies, fight aliens, and eventually go to war with earth (spoilers if i reveal why)

all in all, that's the best deal i ever had in any video game, and i still remember playing it fondly

When I worked at Gamestop, I regularly bought games from costumers dirt-cheap. As in, .99C cheap. They came in to sell a game, we'd offer a pile of ash for it, and if the customer still wanted to sell it, well, I'd front the money myself, and keep it.

I've also won a few games on contests and stuff, so those are also pretty good deals.

tf2 bought a copy for me and a friend: $2.50. God bless steam sales.

Although in reality that deal made me get steam and I've bought probably 30 games since then. Every time I try to get out they PULL ME BACK IN. Bastards!

I've found good deals in the bargain bin at Gamestop, but I bought Guitar Hero: World Tour with the guitar for $50, a short time after it was released.

Oblivion game of the year edition (all expansions and all official dlc, yes that includes the fabulous horse armor)

8 euros

I am not "done" with it yet but there is little doubt I will put in at least 100 hours so that's 8 cents per hour (max.) And they are fun hours, not grinding. I can't think of a better deal besides free bacon.

It was a one-day only steam deal and I get a feeling there will be many of those in this thread.

EDIT: does getting a free DVD with multiple full games, including morrowind, count? It wasn't even a holiday gift: this guy I vaguely know couldn't run the games on his pc so he was just checking if anyone wanted it before throwing it out. And I happened to be in the right spot at the right time.

I went to my local BJ's Wholesale Club, and I saw a game I had played at a friend's house and enjoyed. I also saw, next to it, Dark Cloud for the PS2. It cost me $10, and I have probably put more than 300 hours into it.
