When I worked at Gamestop, I regularly bought games from costumers dirt-cheap. As in, .99C cheap. They came in to sell a game, we'd offer a pile of ash for it, and if the customer still wanted to sell it, well, I'd front the money myself, and keep it.

.
Thought I was the only one who did that. >.>

It the only reason I gotten Jak 3 again.

Anyway, best deal? Mass effect 2 for free buying Dragon Age 2.

Also, Demon souls and DMC3:SE for 17 dollars and 8:99
We all did it. And by all, I mean everyone at every store. We even had a little notebook with what games we were each specifically looking for.

Besides getting Portal for free (among other stupid good Steam deals), I got Soul Calibur 2 for four bucks at an anime convention. That was pretty cool. (The xbox version with Spawn, too.)

EDIT: Also, go buy Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. 20 bucks *new*. Like, 50 games. Seriously, it's fantastic and cheap.

EDIT 2: Also, getting each humble indie bundle for what I could chip in (usually five or ten bucks). A good deal and also charity! :D

I got Portal free too (As did a lot of people with a GeForce videocard bout a year ago), but the most recent one I can think of is I got New Vegas for $40 on release because my buddy accidentally acquired two copies.

I spent £100 on a replica of a freddy glove. Made of metal. Awesome. Most would see that as a shit waste of money. But we love what we love.
Is it just a replica or is it high end metal that could actually be used (for more benevolent purposes, of course)? If it's the latter I'd be tempted to buy that too, I collect blades.

I've also won a few games on contests and stuff, so those are also pretty good deals.
I can practically guarantee that is the only place someone would give a copy of ANYTHING to someone for.....a dollar lol (stealing my perfect dark zero limited edition for .50 cents -_- )

Edit...oh and portal for free from steam.... :)

Little Big Planet for £10 off eBay, new.

My Grandfather bought a new graphics card that he couldn't get to work with his computer, so he gave it to me, and it came with some free (AWESOME) games, including:
- Far Cry 1
- Hitman Contracts
- Prince of Persia: SoT

I got the 1st Devil May Cry game for the PS2 for $2 from Game Stop. Used, but the CD is in good condition.

Also, any Humble Bundle pack. Getting to chose your own price for lie 4-6 indie games is great, especially when you get to chose how you want the money divided between charity, developers, and website. I usually pay $5 for the pack and send most of it to Child's Play charity.
