"Leave Eli alone! He's going through a hard time right now...!"

Spoilers for Season 3 of Supernatural
Dean Winchester's death in the season finale of Supernatural Season 3. I mean, he's one of only two main characters on the entire show, half of the entire emotional core. He was there from the start, they spent the entire season trying to save him, and in the end, they just couldn't get him out of his deal. His death was so visceral (getting ripped to shreds by the hellhounds), so shocking, given how much he meant to the series, and easily one of the most jarring moments the show's ever had (which is saying something for Supernatural)!

Spoilers for Season 4 of Supernatural
Finally, his escape from Hell in the season premiere of Supernatural Season 4, not only managed to not cheapen the moment, but served to further both the impact of his death on the universe of the show as well as push the story further to new levels of awesomeness!

gupy77 your avatar reminded me- in Dragonball Z when Trunks killed Frieza, Frieza may have been evil, but his death was epic

I might also add Depthcharge and Rampages' deaths from Beast Wars again. Depthcharge killing Rampage allows Dinobots personallity to enter the new Dinobot which makes him and rebel against Megatron thus the Maximals win the beast wars.

For a game i might say in the DOW expansions DC and SS whenever the ethereal of the tau campaign dies, the leaders throw a huge sulk.

the ONLY scene in a movie to ever make me cry....Walt Kowalski's (Clint Eastwood) death in Gran Torino, great movie, can never see it again though, like watching my father get killed.

Chewbacca, in I forget which book it was, where he sacrifices his life to save Han's son right before he goes out roaring at the moon that crushes him.
vector prime...sooo sad... My favorite would have to be carson beckett from stargate hes walking away and boom!!!! Also frasier and elizabeth from stargate. Frasier gets shot by a jaffa as shes trying to help someone and elizabeth gets betrayed by john and the rest of the people on atlantis and shot into space for being a replicator, and when gnimsh dies in war of the twins and when raistlin and kitiara die are really sad but the most epic of all would be Sturm in dragons of winter night hes facing 3 dragons and he sacrifices himself

My favorite would have to be Jesus though. We're all gonna die, He just went out saving the entire human race!!
from what did he save us? we've only gotten worse, if he dies for our sins so we could start afresh he should have done it after the Somme.

Basically any computer controlled friendly characters who stand there as you shoot them in the face with the weakest gun you have repeatedly to which they reply "hmm thats unpleasant....i think i might die" then your only one simple reload away from another entertaining team death. prime example of this is fallout three
Where in F3 did this happen?
