1. Old World Blues - Fallout: New Vegas - Everything about this DLC just screams "50's sci-fi" and it is awesome. The weapons, the characters, the environment all have vibrant and hilarious personalities and will leave you wanting more. My favorite is the toaster with aspirations of bringing about a nuclear annihilation... again.

2. Lair of the Shadow Broker - Mass Effect 2 - Provides an interesting and emotional story that is the one of best parts of an already amazing game. The characters, music, and environments are top notch for any dev team.

3. The Shivering Isles - ES4: Oblivion - A fantastical twist on an expansive game that adds a dual natured environment that has a characterization that is only outdone by the leader of it all, Sheogorath. This morally grey daedra will leave you quoting him for weeks on end and only confounds you with quips about cheese.

Honorable Mentions:
Undead Nightmare - Red Dead Redemption
Broken Steel - Fallout 3
Dragonborn - ES5: Skyrim

Chalk up another vote for Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Let's throw in Warden's Keep from the original Dragon Age as an honourable mention.

I also romanced Liara. Hoho.
Bollocks. Allow me to edit...

Also, as much trepidation as I have bringing it up, ME3's Extended Cut has some value on my list.

Theres some good DLC out there but for me the #1 best would have to be Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. It was everything a DLC should be. It added to the gameplay, it redefined the world, it had a pretty decent story and most of all you get more than your monies worth.

This.
And the ability to play pretty much every map from L4D1 on L4D2, with the new weapons, special zombies, etc.
No need to keep both installed.

I'm so confused as to what happened here, so many casualties.

Old World Blues.

Really funny, good characters, good length, interesting location, it was great.

Wrath of the Lamb, if that counts.

Otherwise, Old World Blues.

red dead redemption: undead nightmare is the correct answer. it was massive, like a whole nothing game, and the most fun ive ever had with dlc. the enslaved dlc was amazing too. shadow broker was okay

Lair of the Shadow Broker would be my top considering my lady Shep is fully Asari-sexual. Other then that the Knoxx DLC of Borderlands and Minerva's Den from Bioshock were fantastic.

It felt like Knoxx was the real ending to Borderlands.

I personally liked the Honest Hearts DLC for Fallout New Vegas even though there are better DLCs like The Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2

Honestly, I've never bought any DLC. I just don't see the point. A games story should finish when I reach the end of it. An example of this is the NEW mass effect DLC - my shepard died, how can the story continue? makes no sense to me...
Edit: Thats for single player DLC - I get the point of multiplayer DLC to keep things fresh etc - still not a fan though

Loved Point Lookout. The hallucination sequence was the best. The only thing that sucked about it was there wasn't much in the way of special loot like they had in the other DLCs.

I'm gonna go with Lair of the Shadow Broker, with honorable mentions going to Shivering Isles and The Secret Armory of General Knox. Oh, and Broken Steel for Fallout 3. Anything that extends that game's running time is OK with me.

Most definitely Lair of the Shadow Broker. Pretty much what every second of the Mass Effect series should've been like.

Incidentally, how do I get in on this fake (probably) banning action?

Agreed, and it was a real shame there wasn't more exclusive loot. Still, gotta love the atmosphere.

I haven't really bought DLC in a long time now but the first that came to my mind was Red dead redemption undead nightmare it drastically changed game play and I remember it being pretty large having its own campaign and side missions (Poor Sasquatches). Also as a bonus When you finish the story you aren't forced to play as Jack but can keep playing as zombie John instead.

Leviathan for ME3 was absolutely delicious, uncovering one of the most interesting parts of Mass Effect lore. The Abyss-influenced final part of the pack left me with a huge grin on my face.

Bioshock 2 Minerva's den was the best experience I got from bioshock and the plot twist literally blew me away as I never saw it coming.

Shivering Isles, Old World BLues.

I don't think I've ever bought DLC myself, though I did borrow a friends account for the Mass Effect 2 DLC, none of it left much of an impression though, don't actually remember any of it now.
