Best/Favourate Anti-Zombie weapon?

i would have to say some kind of handgun so i can stay light on my feet and not have to lug around some kind of massive gun like a shotgun or others along that line
Everyone who posts about how they'd use a shotgun, you are all going to become infected. The shotgun causes a large amount of bodily fluids to spray from the zombies, and at the close range you'd be firing at, these bodily fluids would come into contact with you. If you have any open cuts, or even if the fluids get in your mouth or eyes, you will be infected.
I prefer cleaner weapons, which can be fired from a longer range and can be easily controlled, such as the M1 Carbine.
For melee weapons I'd use the trench spike (goes straight through the skull and into the brain, killing the zombie instantly) or the shaolin spade (sever the zombie's head, rendering the body useless, although the head is still a danger).

It would be between a katana/machete or a shotgun. I can actually semi-use a blade but have never actually fired any sort of gun, but to use a blade I'd have to be much closer to the zombies than I'd actually like. Still, if I wasn't able to fire the shotgun, I guess distance wouldn't matter in the end.
A small tank. It's heavily armored and has immense firepower. Barring that, I'd go with a katana and some reliable pistol or gun with a large ammo supply.
A launcher that some what resembles the fatman from fallout 3 but instead fires rocket propelled chainsaws...
failing that, an army of flesh eating ants under my control, both effective and good for cleaning up the mess afterward.
