I swear that guy is just there to piss you off. I mean the first fight is fine till Anima when it gets hard, second one is just fucking annoying, he used Break on my party three times in a row, and I can't remember the rest...what fun I've got to look forward to.

The music was a large part of why I liked the Final Fantasy games, although IX was the last I played. There were two I liked in particular:

I am hesitant to put this down as it will no doubt result in massive amounts of masculinity loss, but what the hell. I liked the music from the end scene in FFX, you know, the REALLY sad bit. It is the most sniffle provoking music track I have ever heard.

My feelings about Final Fantasy is love/hate, but their soundtracks are consistently outstanding. FF8 is not one of my favorites in the series, but its soundtrack is great, from beginning to end. Even a decade later, that opening cinema (and music of course) is riveting.

It's all good, although the Otherword or w/e it's called metal song in 10 is fairly out of place... It's a good song but with all the classical music flying around throughout the rest of the the game -.-

Oh, I have so many favourites. Especially since OverClocked Remix has such a range of Final Fantasy remixes. Voices of the Lifestream is a must have. I always loved the Mount Gagazet theme from FFX (seriously, bagpipes need to be used in more songs), but the arrangement of that into Journey's End literally brought tears to my eyes. Another great remix is Everything = Nothing which is Time Compression from FFVIII. But enough about remixes. =P

Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec is up there as one of my favourites (especially the arranged version on the album of the same name. So is Dark Messenger from FFIX (and Immoral Melody just because it's pretty), and the final Seymour Battle (although Challenge also rocked). From FFVII, there are so many good ones. Well, Still More Fighting/Boss Battle has a special place in my heart because it was one of the first riffs I learned on guitar. ^ ^ But, seriously, the song that does it for me is, probably more than anything, Sending A Dream Into The Universe.
