Spellcheck the Game, or Action Grammar the RPG.

Seriously though, I've always liked the idea of a WWII game, too bad they never made one...

A game where you are a mook in an army of mooks. You fight one or two enemy mooks in an intense dueling system as an entire battlefield plays out around you.

The rest are fairly complex ideas i'm saving for when I storm the Relic HQ.

I have a pretty sweet idea for a game.

It's like a cross between Zelda, Gears of War, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and Uncharted. These games are completely unrelated, I know. But hear me out.

You play a team of treasure hunters. It's set on an alternate Earth, where humans share the planet with many other intelligent species. All the races have different and unique Homelands. Humans lack the ability to use Magic, unlike many other Races.

The story would be upbeat and cheerful, and the enemies and villains would be purposely over-the-top and creative (evil unicorns, anyone?). The main characters would be funny and likeable, and human. The protaganist would probably not be white, to avoid the whole "white man with short brown hair" trend that's going on.

The levels would be kinda like Zelda's dungeons, with Uncharted gameplay and RPG elements. The dungeons would have more than one way to solve them, and suit many different playstyles. Humans aren't born with any magical abilities, but they can use magical artifacts found in dungeons. The artifacts can range from upgrades (like decreasing fall damage, or increasing accuracy), to completely new abilities (like telepathy or fireballs). Most artifacts are optional to get, but some will be required to advance. The dungeons will involve platforming like in Uncharted, and you hold the left trigger or right mouse button to take out your weapon and aim.

You can't carry every artifact or gun you find, the inventory system would be like the one in Deus Ex. You can periodically buy size upgrades to your inventory, like in Resident Evil 4.

It wouldn't necessarily be a graphical powerhouse, but it would have nice-looking graphics, and excellent art direction. A lot of work would be put into the atmosphere of each dungeon.

So there you have it.

Hmmmmmm...interested Sam is interested. I do like over-the-top villians though I would still like someone like Nathan Drake jst because he is hot as my pants ie. very hot indeed.

I would like some sort of medieval Robin Hood third person game that looks pretty. Very much like Uncharted with Assassin Creed stuff chucked in. It would have limited magic as too much magic takes the awesomeness out of magic. And though it is medieval, there would also be aleins. In medieval outfits. With rayguns.

an RTS version of Civ4. Kind of like Empire Earth except it doesn't suck, there aren't definitive "ages", and there is more focus on economy and less on fighting, which caused the game to ALWAYS end in one of the ancient epochs.

Imagine a game where you start with a campfire and some villagers scourging for food. You then upgrade bits here or there like in Civ4 (rather than the EE or AoE methods of a single age-advance tech) such as perhaps better farming techniques, gradually better armor, etc. Eventually over time your settlement turns into a bustling city as your warriors armed with clubs and rocks adopt swords and armor, then eventually in the latter game, tanks and the like.

tl;dr: Empire Earth with some tweaks and all the bad things removed.

This is a joke right? like you even specified that wii can't have it? as if it will ever come to fruition? you rip off your own arms and legs? No one else caught this?

Also when I was bored at work I came up with a Vampire game that might have been pretty sweet, good co-op system, kind of in the vain of 30 days of night where you are in a sandbox environment and its a lot more survival than action. I wanted to call it Thicker Than Water cause im artsy like that.

ALSO*** the title of this thread doesn't make sense.

not that there aren't enough post-apocalyptic zombie games out there, but i had an idea a while back for a post-apocalyptic MMORPG. There would be two factions. The fascist right-wing regime that possibly caused the apocalypse to catalyse it's rise to power, and the poorly funded band of survivors that through strong will and perseverence have survived and wants nothing more to wreak havoc on the regime for their crimes against the earth. I could go into more detail, but i might try to pitch this to a gaming manufaturer some day so i'll let it be for now lol

I'd quite like the idea of an open world survival game, where say the government's corrupt and they're trying to kill you (assume you're a secret agent with like information about the government secretly killing people to harvest their organs, it's not great, I know) and so the army's trying to get you and you have to get say from one country to some safe place or something, literally surviving on your military training and what you can get (stealing food from super markets etc etc)

Pretty much, but while playing Fallout 3, i definately wished at times that i could be playing in a massive online post-apoc environment on either side of the battle.

good point, because that's the general populus of online gaming. However, if you happen to find a good group of mature people to play with like I have in multiple games, then you you tend to have an easier time drowning out the 13-year-olds shit talking eachother and have more fun playing in general.

*then again, this is why most games include the all-powerful [ignore player] button

Yeah but then i'm ignoring all but like one or two players and the purpose is defeated, I don't hate online Gaming L4D had a good crowd for a while and Team Fortress 2 is great, I don't like MMORPG's either way to much of a time investment.

speleling. Itz orsum.

In all seriousness, an MMO that behaved like a normal single-player game. like, if you're an archer, you are in first-person. If you're a warrior, you God of War everyone to death. Oh yeah, and a free-running MMO. No modern MMOs are good...
