Heavy Rain. Blew my mind off with a preview, demo, trailers and finally, full release. The best game I played in my life so far, and I don't know when the another, better one will.

BTW, I played ME2, RDR, GoW III and several other GOTY material games this year, but while they were all awesome, HR just wins for me.

Special mention for Alpha Protocol which gave me about 2x more fun than (as mentioned before) awesome ME2

Wow, he's talking about the best game of 2010 so far and there are tons of New Vegas mentions. Talk about hype.
2 =/= tons
It's enough, when we're talking about games that have been released. Don't get me wrong, I'll be raiding the local game store the day New Vegas is released. But it's Obsidian, we never know.

God of War 3. Really, it was that or Mass Effect 2, and that game was so disappointing.
That's the first time I've heard disappointing. Mario Galaxy 2 is the highest rated game of all time on GameRankings. Beating the legendary Ocarina of Time who held it's No.1 spot for twelve years. Don't think a casual game should win GOTY though, but that's just me.

I'll be voting for Mass Effect 2, anyhow.

Um, I didn't say anything about Mario Galaxy 2, in fact I haven't even played it. If I had I'm sure it would have gotten my vote for game of the year, since I loved the first one. Did you think I said Mario Galaxy 2 instead of Mass Effect 2 or something?

I've spent a ridiculous number of hours on BC2. The destructible environment is a game changer in my mind. I'm going to have a hard time getting into any FPS that doesn't have it after this.

Mass Effect 2, then No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. Just for making me laugh.

I'll go for the Dawn of War chaos rising expansion or 3D Dot Game Heroes.

Mass Effect 2 easily. 10 outta 10 for me. That may not be fair since, as you can tell from my profile pic, I'm a Mass Effect junky. And after that, I'd say maybe Heavy Rain.
Me too, by a longshot. Not just game of the year, it's my game of this generation so far.

I got bored of RDR pretty quickly, ME2 I 1000G'd it and I'm now on my 4th playthrough.

I'm giving it to Grand Theft Pony until New Vegas blows my mind. I would gladly give it to Grand Theft Pony if it weren't for the ending. Not the actual ending, but, you know... that. That thing that now prevents me from going back to the game. That.
'Yeehaw! work, ya damn nag!'

It makes me sad too.

Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction

RDR was a hoot to watch (my 360 was commandeered!), though the ending-ending made us frown.

probably Starcraft 2. yeah, thats right, its impending awesomeness is so great that its aura of awesomeness has even broken the barriers of space time and spread back in time to a few weeks ago, so that it actually started being awesome even several months before it was released!

or at least, here's hoping.
