Metal Gear Solid 4.

totally agreed. it took MGS3, gave it better controls, the best story in videogame history, made it more pew-pew friendly and to pour icing all over the awesometastic cake, it looks beautiful.

besides MGS4, Titan Quest, Bioshock (i like both equally much, so won´t choose), Age of Mythology, SSBB (as unbalanced as it is, and as fucked 2/3 of the maps are, it has brought me so much joy and fun the last 1½ years).

its so hard to choose 1, but MGS4 is the best game in the decade in opinion, if not the best ever.

edit: I FORGOT WOW. i have over a years playtime in 5 years of that game, and i forgot it...

sorry, it goes against my beliefs as a programmer to acknowledge '01 as the first year of a decade.

I honestly can't imagine anyone sitting there near midnight on December 31 1999 going "hey guys, whats all the fuss about, we still have one more year left to go in this millennium.

That's dumb (what does being a programmer have anything to do with anything, btw?), decades like centuries and millennia start on year 1, it's just fact... Whether we party hard on 1999 or 2000.

programmers start at 0 for everything.

I thought the internet knew that?
