Clarification, while there are many games I call 'Good' games, there are exceedingly few games I would call 'GREAT' games, Half-Life 2 was the first game this decade to achieve 'GREAT' game status, and so far it and its Episode-format bastard children are the only ones to get that title.

My favourite game is grammar and spell check. Best game of the decade, but not many people know about it. Spread the word, it's free, and it runs on every computer, Mac or PC! I know right?

Well Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn was released in 2000, so I'll go with that. Ten years now and there still hasn't been a game to match it!

Mine would have to be Morrowind. I just played it again recently and remembered all I loved about it. Granted I'm happy Oblivion did away with some of the invisible dice-rolls, but that's just me.
