Best game openings?

Even though I don't really like fighting games, I liked the intro to Dead or Alive 2: Ultimate.

Kingdom Hearts 1. It was perfect, thrusting you straight into some action, acclimating you to the everyday lives of Sora and his friends, setting up a few elements of mystery and foreshadowing here and there, and giving you room to choose how much or how little time you spend doing tutorials before the big dramatic hook when Sora's world is destroyed right beneath his very feet by the Heartless; millions of voices cry out and are suddenly silenced, and even in that moment of confusion and dread you know that it will be your duty to insure that this tragedy never befalls anyone else ever again.

Warcraft 3 had a good opening. So did Left 4 Dead, Starcraft, Half Life 2, and Borderlands (from what I can see in the Unskippable video).

Yes, that is indeed awesome, but for some reason, the Red Alert 2 version just seems cooler to me.

Seconded, RA2 just clinches it for me. But by God, the music in both of them kicks ass.

Borderlands had an awesome one. So did Warcraft III, with the opening cinematic symbolic of the entire storyline. But the ultimate winner is Dawn of War.

The best opening by far is the opening to Resident evil 3. an all out war between zombies, UBCS and RPD...what more could you ask for.
