The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Just... beautiful... *sniff*

So true. Majora's mask is also amazing.
But aside from zelda, other great soundtracks are Okami, Banjo Kazooie and Mario Galaxy. I was really surprised at how amazing the new mario soundtrack was! It blew me away when I first played!

I hate to say it but:

Stubbs the Zombie, it had lots of our generation of bands doing covers of 1950's songs, it was quite good.

Chrono Trigger in terms of emotional resonance, Rock Band 2 in terms of sheer variety and Brütal Legend in terms of being FUCKING METAL.

I'd say Silent Hill 2.
That or FFX, it really depends on the mood. Both are amazingly good though.

although i like FF7 its soundtrack is getting no points form me because of computerized tunes
