Best game this year so far

Infamous 2. granted i have only played a few of the games released this year. so comparing it to the games i have from last year...still infamous 2 over those games. Mainly for the story but the powers are really great as well

Portal 2 And Catherine.
I might get some hate for saying Catherine , but it truly is ( imo ) a Gem and a Breath of fresh air in the gaming industry atm. I think it will become a cult classic ( unless a or several sequels will come out ) but only time will tell.

I'm with ya, I'm loving Catherine.

I haven't played Arkham City yet, but afterwards I'm sure that will get my vote.

The Witcher 2, probably the best story I've seen in a while. Portal 2 comes a close second.

My vote goes to Witcher 2, long enough to make me satisfied with the price, but still interesting throughout, if only for the brilliant, if somewhat convoluted, storytelling.

Catherine and Portal 2 were both amazingly fun and refreshing, and I absolutely do not regret the purchase, but I definitely was left wanting more at the end.

Maybe that's a good thing...

Well, I'm going to be original and recommend Witcher 2 and Portal 2. Also, this is a good time as any to start playing TF2 if you aren't already, and if you're not already playing Minecraft there's a *massive* update on the way.

Frozen Synapse is the best Game released so far this year. (Minecraft releases in November, unless it has been pushed back) If you want story, I guess Portal 2 was OK but the puzzling was a bit weak (Fan levels fix this). Really though if you play for story it is The Witcher 2.
