Thank you. I was waiting for someone to say that. That game did so many things right. The level designs were cool and interesting (and missions were almost always in the main area, so you got to know the space so feeling like an awesome thief was so easy.)A random person said:I can't really choose any one game, so I'll eschew common candidates like Half Life 2 or Super Metroid and say Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Probably the best game I've played on the PS2, though strangely I didn't play that many games on it.
Portal, Portal, Portal.Mr.PlanetEater said:Fallout 3, the Entire Mother trilogy (Each one was unique, and new how to be funny but at the same time have a sad/serious undertone.), Portal (Obvious is obvious), Cave story, and lastly Braid.
Don't forget the awesomely pulled-off cel-shaded graphics and atmosphere that manage to be like a Saturday-morning cartoon with a perfect dosage of noir. Really, the game is horribly underrated artistically. Oh, and the Prague level made me shiver.Flamingpenguin said:Thank you. I was waiting for someone to say that. That game did so many things right. That game really did stealth pretty well. Sometimes it got a little cartoony, but it was all in good fun.
The story was really quite good as well, and it felt like all 3 members of your team were really important to each other. You had the giant awesomely strong hippo, the stealthy raccoon, and the brainy (hacking is SO fun) turtle.
The Prague level? You mean the Contessa's castle place? I love that place and it came to mind when I made the post for some reason...A random person said:Don't forget the awesomely pulled-off cel-shaded graphics and atmosphere that manage to be like a Saturday-morning cartoon with a perfect dosage of noir. Who gives a damn if they disagree! Yell it loudly and proudly "HALO FUCKING OWNS"! Rub it in their face.Vrex360 said:While I'm sure people will disagree with me I still find that for me personally Halo: Combat Evolved was the game that I put at the top of the chart, I was young when I first played it and it blew my mind. The music, the atmosphere, the gunplay, the story and just the general feel of it makes it perhaps one of the most cherished games in my collection.
The close second would be Bioshock and third would be Mass Effect.
Have you tried Hitman? It also has an emphasis on stealth, pretty violent, and has a relatively bizarre story, but is absolutely awesome! The number of different ways you can kill your targets is astonishing really. I love those games and I can't wait for a sequel.omega 616 said:Other contestants are manhunt it's ultra violent, heavy emphasis on stealth and a bizarre story. My kind of game.
