I thought the Halo Wars cutscenes were particularly awesome, but obviously not everyone has as much money to pour into a game as Bungie and the cutscenes and story weren't all that great. Man, if every game could have cinematics like those, though...

Devil may cry 3 had the most ridiculous, over the top, epic cutscenes of any game I've ever played.

Seriously, cutting a pool table in half, jumping on it and launching all the balls into the air, shooting the cue ball, having it ricochet off 4 other balls mid-air and having them beam into 4 bad guys all while eating a slice of pizza... It's no contest guys.

Aside from scenes mentioned already like MGS or Final Fantasy I'll say the Cutscenes in Valkyria Chronicles with the Two Valkyrians fighting it out with each other.

Final Fantasy VII's cutscene's were epic the music and emotion especially the one where Aeris is killed by Sephiroth.

Devil May Cry 4

Well the first one that came to mind was the landing scene from FF VIII that begins with the moon's reflection getting broken up by the boats that your force is riding and then shows the battle that you're about to join going horribly for your allies on land. The end of the cutscene flows directly into game play which was something I'd never seen before.

So true, that game was my first for the PS and it blew me away, that cutscene and especially the opening. The music makes it.Or the cutscene where Squall is stabbed by Edea's Icicle. Had a "oh crap!" feel to it similae to Aries death in FF VII because it just precedes changing of discs.

FF X- The cutscene where Yuna sends the departed to the Farplane, where she's dancing on the water and previous to that when sin attacks Kilika.

The opening to FF XII was pretty impressive too.

Assasins Creed's cutscenes were fun because you could walk around, but I just wish you good push people or something to make it go by faster. and that all the godamned people around it would move, so I can see!

I actually really enjoyed the Kingdom Heart cutscenes the music was great and the ones with action were awesome.

The story is just amazing and the cut scenes make it
the game play could be better but the cut scenes made it worth trudging through almost endless heartless just to watch them ^^
