I never got why people go on about high specs for PC gaming. I have a new none gaming PC and it can run anything with no issues and was £1000 for the whole thing.

You must mean an unrestricted budget, not NO budget as that implies no money.
I would build something with:

An intel core i7 990x (top processor available).
Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r motherboard.
Corsair dominator GT 2000c8 ram.
Thermaltake toughpower 1.5kw power supply.
Seagate barracuda xt 2tb hard drive.
OCZ REVODRIVE pci-express solid state drive.
Radeon hd 6990 4gb Graphics card.
Asus xonar xense soundcard and headset bundle.
Coolermaster v6GT cpu cooler.
Coolermaster haf-X chassis.

Roccat cone+ mouse.
Logitech G19 keyboard.
Roccat alumic mousemat.
Corsair sp2500 speakers.

I spent around AU$950 for a pretty good gaming rig (which I also use for 3D modelling and artwork) so it's not surprising that a computer that cost twice as much can play games no sweat.

No budget, eh? Ram your car thru Best Buy's window at 330 in the morning and grab the first thing you see. That's about what you can do with "no budget."

I'm on a poor ass college student budget and still sprung for an Alienware M15X laptop. So far, best damn 1500 bucks I've spent on my education.

Well, i'd have to study the PC intensely so I can build one from sticks and stones, since I have no budget..

Decent Gaming rigs start at about 400-500USD. (excluding OS)
If you build smart and overclock a little, you can expect to play all current games @1920x1080 with high details and good fps. Much better graphics than the current generation consoles could dream about.

If you have a choice, wait a few months. AMD and Intel are in the process of releasing a new generation of CPUs and CPU sockets.
And don't forget that the next console generation is probably right around the corner. I'd at least wait for this year's E3 (June).
I'm a die-hard PC gamer, but I might buy a Playstation 4 if it has backwards compatibility (ps3 and ps2) and a new controller. (DualShock must die!!!! It should have died along with the PS2.)

The best pc you could build without a budget would suck an unimaginable amount of power. Have fun running that for even an hour without going broke.

LIAN LI PC-V2120X All Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
SILVERSTONE ST1500 1500W ATX
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3072MB (three of these)
EVGA Classified SR-2 270-WS-W555-A2 LGA 1366
WINTEC 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (four of these)
Intel Xeon X5680 Westmere 3.33GHz LGA 1366 130W Six-Core Server Processor (2 of these)
OCZ Colossus LT Series OCZSSD2-1CLSLT500G 3.5" 500GB
HP 507616-B21 2TB 7200 RPM SAS 6Gb (4 of these)

all available from newegg with a grand total of $12,848.84 not including shipping costs.

whether server processors are designed for gaming or not, there's 12 cores right there, I think it'll survive. There is also enough room and slots to add a fourth gfx card to sli if you wished, but I think stability may become an issue and differences may be negligible as bottlenecking may occur somewhere.

The average user may not require 8.5 Tb of storage, but if you were using this you wouldn't really be an average user. The standard drives could also possibly be raided if you so wished.

Logitech G19 keyboard.
Incorrect. [http://www.daskeyboard.com/]

In fact, even I'm incorrect [http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/] there.
Your'e joking, right?

Unless your idea of a great computer is to be used for work and typing documents, which suggests you MIGHT be a console gamer of some kind. I may be wrong.

With determination and some thick gloves and late nights, you too can run Crysis on an entirely free computer.

God bless dumpster diving.

Rampage 3 extreme, i7-990x, 4xGX990 in SLI, 16GB DDR3 2400MHz RAM, SSDs out the backside, stick it all in a TJ11.

I don't know why you'd want to, though. You could also get a dual socket motherboard for extra stupidity, but those tend to be less OC-friendly, and the extra processor won't do you much good. The i7-2600k is another option, but it isn't Rampage3 compatible.

With no budget? I'd sugest stealing one. Or you can go beg for computer parts in the street.

Good luck with that!

Not only can you use more than one GPU, you can use multiple CPUs; some motherboards carry multiple CPU slots.
True, but only if you're running a server.
It most cases, yes, but not always [http://www.maximumpc.com/article/home/dream_machine_2010].

Yes, I've known about people who use an Nvidia cards in a Crossfire to utilize its PhysX Processing Unit, but that stuff isn't officially supported and uses custom firmware. It can be done, I just don't know much about it. As for use with another Nvidia card, I've never known anyone who's done it but I'm sure they're out there.
I've done it, using it now actually, and it's supported by the official drivers and whatnot. It came out 1-2 driver releases ago, but it's definitely there. They call it "Multi-GPU" instead of SLI.

Guys, 'With no Budget' means you have unlimited money to spend. Stop giving poor man solutions and buy some stuff!

OT: Honestly I'd just get NASA or something to build it for me. Less work for me to do.

No budget at all? Two discarded toothpicks, then I could play the hit "Making Fire".
