I just bought Orange Box today, paid a measly $20 for it and it is no doubt the best twenty dollars I have spent. What is the best gaming purchase you have ever made? A game that you paid very little for and was fantastic? A game you dont think you will ever stop playing?

(On a side note, please go out and get Orange Box, a fantastic bunch of games for only $20!)

Half-Life 2.

Got for Christmas 04 when I got a new PC...

Counrer Strike Source, HL2DM, so friggin' many mods... Zombie Master, Garrys Mod, Insurgency, Minerva, Synergy and more.

It literally gave me years of gameplay.

For me, it would definately be Rainbow Six Vegas 1 + 2.
The first vegas was the reason i bought my Xbox360 (my brother was fed up with me playing his, ha) and I have been playing Vegas 2 since its release date.

I paid the full price, £35, but to me it was worth every penny.

Bioshock was also another well worth purchase.

Morrowind GotY Edition for about $8.99 like three years ago. Even though I only had the Xbox version, it's probably the game I've spent the most time on.
Other than that, I purchased a PS1, one controller, two memory cards (they only sold sets of two), Hexen, FF8 and FF9, and some other games -- all that was about $50 - $60.

I never even played hl2 so getting orange box for £15. hl2 + ep 1+ ep2 + portal + tf2. 3 of those games in PC gamers top 10 of top 100 PC games EVAR, I think that says enough.

Yeah I got the orange box for $20 too, but I also had a $20 rewards card. so it was essentially the best free purchase I have ever made.

but ones ive spent money on would have to be FFX for $5

Bought Mass Effect for 25 NOK, about 2,5 GBP.

They had managed to print the wrong årice on the game, and by law I can buy it for that price.

Was orginally 250 NOK, ten times the amount I paid.
