Wasn't it Altered Beast or Jurassic Park on the Sega that had a level code printed into the manual by mistake?

In Morrowind, the thieves guild memeber in Balmora that will remove the bounty on your head "for a fee" will still remove the bounty even if you don't have any money in your inventory. So I'd always set set a recall location right in front of him and go steal all kinds of great things, then come back, drop my gold and set things right with the law.

It is a tie between the super jump/invulnerability bug in Mega an 3 and the World of Ruin Relm Painting Glitch in Final Fantasy 3.

I was never able to replicate this, but way back on the ps1, I had just got Spider-man 2: Enter Electro, and a friend had come round to watch me play it. After a pretty marathon session, I got to the boss fight with hammer head, and being very young and stupid then, I thought that I could avoid all his attacks by jumping off the roof we were fighting on and just sticking to the wall.

Unfortunately, I jumped too far, couldn't reach the wall. And fell.

Then I kept falling. We waited about a full minute for me to die, when Spidey suddenly quipped "Hey! I can see my house from up here!"

Given the context, it was the funniest thing I've ever heard in a game. :D
He never stopped falling either, I had to reset. Didn't care though, it was too funny.

So, when I was in 8th grade I was playing Dragon Warrior 3 on the GameBoy Color. I was playing through one of these wierd game board things that the game had with my main characer (the "hero" class) and I got into a monster battle. I defeated the monsters and went up a level. 'Cool' I thought to myself. And then I went up another level. And another. My character went from level 32 to level 99 after defeating one monster. It was the coolest glitch I'd ever seen.

So, anyone else have any glitches that they were glad existed in their games?
Knights of the Old Republic: Sith Lords had a similar glitch where as you enter a certain part of the Korriban ruins you will find a Jedi corpse (by now you learn that corpse looting insights the wrath of invisible dragons?) and you can loot the corpse multiple time, thus inciting multiple invisible dragons, and then you can force lightning them to death. I had fun watching my Xbox slow to one frame a second after I forced lightning over forty dragons. It was easy and made leveling super easy because you got great XP.
Why do invisible dragons attack you when you loot a corpse? I never played the game.
I beleive the sith corpses had an enchantment on them so that graverobbers wouldnt loot the bodies.
OT,I beat one of the top scores in Tony Hawks: Project 8 within minutes of starting the game. I fell of the board and glitched so that I flew into several walls at top speed and broke a record number of bones and got a record ammount of points!

when playing GuildWars factions...

The endgame Boss 'Banished' himself somehow. Usually he Banishes players... but no... Banishes himself! Was hilarious but meant we had to restart the mission!

Also in GuildWars... In NIghtfall this time, A monk hero killed a boss. It was healer. It was awesome.

Also, Sims for PC, my boyfriend made a male character and one of the first things he did was go into the bathroom, stand over the toilet and proceeded to glitch out and start doing jerky movements. We hovered over the action at the top and it said '+1'... whatever +1 was we do not know... sure as hell amused us though!

This one time i was playing oblivion with my friend, and in one of the taverns there was this npc that just wont stop talking about mudcrabs or something. He kept talking the same 3 lines over and over again. So i decided that the best way to shut him up is to kill him. So I did. And he kept talking.

On Halo CE on a snowy level, there was a bridge that you had to fight your way across, me and my co op friend manages to jump off the side by having one person jump off, then the second person jump and the other player respawn on a ledge just as the second player passes it. from there you could slide down and explore the rest of the big open level with no enemies, you can even get a banshee and explore.

In Oblivion I was fighting in a dungeon and suddenly I fell through the floor and fell into where the graphic for the water runs under the floor polygons, and kept falling. I got a death animation but instead of getting the You Are Dead screen I got respawned a second later in a narrow hall with stone walls and no doors or windows. On top of that, all of my equipment was gone and the battle music wouldn't stop playing. After ten minutes of trying to escape or else find something to commit suicide with, I just quit. I love Oblivion, I really do, but it has absolutely THE buggiest scripting of any modern PC game I've ever played.
