Well, i will say this only because there are other people who have said it, so they will get flamed instead of me, but my nomination is Avatar.
Not because it was original, but because it was a gem to watch, with moments that made my spine tingle every time i watch it. It was sincere, it had likable characters, it was stunningly immersible and it was FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!
AVATAR all the way (i say this even after seeing some of the so-called classics)

Schindlers List.

Fictional movies are fine, but imo movies with a message are better.

In Bruges, i really haven't seen Colin Farrell in much besides that but i think he was excellent in it.
Where have you people been all my life?
America that place right below you ;].

Oh. I don't like that place. It smells and it's dirty and the people are rude.
And they have to many sexist jokes?

I'm sorry but did you even watch In Bruges? Ha, Americans the rude ones ;].

American Beauty! How did nobody mention this yet? I love this movie too much.
Also Rebel Without a Cause is a movie that is big in my world. Spoke to me on many levels. Plus it's the most quotable movie ever. And it's amazing. And Fry dresses like him.

The Departed was NOT mediocre. v___v
i don't want to flame but when compared to his other movies raging bull, taxi driver, the king of comedy, casino, color of money, gangs of new york, and afore mentioned goodfellas it is just not as good as those and i didn't hate the departed it just wasn't as good in my opinion.
Well that's fine. I can accept you didn't like it as much as you like his others, but that doesn't make it a mediocre movie.
we can agree to disagree

Is this what you meant by mediocre?

?adjective
1. of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate.
2. rather poor or inferior.

My favourite movie is 28 days later.

However, the most stylistic, beautifully simplistic and well scripted movie I have ever seen is dogville.

If you haven't seen it, do. The first half an hour is boring, but necessary, and you will understand why once you watch the rest.

In Bruges
the greatest movie no one has ever seen.
I've seen that. Ironically because of another thread asking for good movies.

OT:....I CAN'T DECIDE
