There are actually several decent movie tie ins that are not that bad, mainly for the PS2. So, what are your personal favorite movie tie in games?

I enjoyed playing through Green Lantern with a friend, its very short but it plays like a Co-op God of War. it makes a pretty fun weekend rental.

The wolverine: Origins one was pretty fun too, I remember hating Wolverines Revenge for Gamecube though, even as a nipper I knew it was shit.

Golden eye 007 , best game based on movie ever. Sure it may have aged poorly but it's the best in that perticular category .

I was very, very pleasantly surprised by how good Captain America: Super Soldier turned out to be. I mean, if you're gonna rip off another game, ripping off Arkham Asylum was a good choice.

Spiderman 2 is the only game I've played that got close to making you genuinely feel like a superhero.

Rockstar's The Warriors and Volition's The Punisher are probably the only two decent film licensed games I've played.

Their saving grace (apart from being made by great development studios) could be the fact that they're tenuously linked to their respective movies and not a cash-grab tie-in, with The Warriors being based on an old cult classic and The Punisher being just as much based on the comic books rather than strictly based on the film.

Both games seem great because the developer wanted to make good games based on those characters and stories, not because the studio decreed that a game, any game, be made to coincide with the films.

Definitely Escape from Butcher Bay. Not only a decent adaptation but also a damn good game by itself.

The Thing.

I would go so far as to say it's one of the last gen's best survival horror games.

And I heard the Wanted game was pretty decent but that it was way too short. Like 3 hours long.

Spiderman 2. It was so much fun swinging around New York, flying through the air, beating up gangs and latching onto helicopters. It made me feel like a superhero, at least better than most superhero games do anyways. I gave up on movie games a long time ago unless one gets stellar reviews and praise across the board and even then I'm skeptical.

Some of the PS2/GC/Xbox era James Bond games were pretty good. I remember Agent Under Fire, Nightfire and Everything Or Nothing being pretty good. Don't think I would call them among the "best" movie license games but they are all pretty good.

Spiderman 2, hands down. It had everything one could want in a game, and only took small parts from the movies.

Spider-man 2.

Here we have a game that actually tries to put you into the shoes of the superhero. You're not just pressing buttons to make Batman do cool flips and karate, you're actually busting up regular crooks and villains on the street.

If only Arkham City had tried to do that.
