Best movie made into a game

I'm trying to think of some good ones but all i've got at the moment is LOTR 2 and 3

If that wasn't sarcastic then may I ask why that's funny, it's a dull and predictable reply which offered nothing to the disscussion.
On topic LOTR 2 kicked ass also more then likely on my own but i enjoyed the first harry potter game released.

You have no sense of humour. Actually contributing to the discussion, I have to say the Warriors was good, I never saw the film but my brother had the game for Christmas. I know this is a reversal, but the Resident Evil films were really good, would love to play the games sometime, but I don't have any sort of Nintendo Console save for the DS.

Goldeneye 64, the Rogue Squadron games(excepting 3) and Spiderman 2 are all good examples of good games based on movies.

If we stretched the based-on-movie concept far enough, I'd go with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Otherwise, I agree on Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay - it was one of the most cinematic games ever.

If, however, the OP meant to say the best movie that got made into a game (regardless of game quality), it's a very hard question to answer, as movies are judged much more subjectively than games.

The warriors game captured the look and feel of the movie perfectly. Basically it was a 3d double dragon with the warriors licence painted over it.

I think what he meant was that Lord of the Rings has nothing to do with Search Button: The Movie (a suggestion that perhaps this topic may have been done a few million times before).

I don't think I've ever seen a Best movie made into a game thread before. Maybe if you read the title instead of thinking: "best . . . movie . . . game?!?!?!? ARRRRRRRRGGHHH SERCH BTTON!!!!!!!!!1111" you would instead be able to tell everyone else off for only reading "best, movie, game" as you seem to have done.

Spiderman 1&2 by a longshot.

spiderman 1. aside from plain fun combat and good level design, it was filled to the brim with uproariously funny humor. So much so that it's sense of humor affected gameplay.

spiderman 2. Did a good open world new york long before GTA4. improved on the combat, had brillient boss fights, kept the trademark humor, not much to hate.

Everyone knows it's goldeneye. This thread ended before it began.

The game is hailed as one of the best shooters for Cripes sake. What other movie tie-in game can boast that?.

Warriors is second, that game was just great, and gave some good backstory on the characters (especially the leader, man if there ever was a movie where the black guy died first...AND second).

other way around actually, were talking aboot game based on movies. the old aitd games were pretty good.

but, goldeneye, not only the best game based on a movie but one of the best fps's ever made. and lets not forget that it was the game that led to perfect dark.
