Terminator 2: Judgement Day = Best movie of the 90s.

I don't normally do this, but /thread.

Favourite? Well that's a difference matter.
Damn, ninajad. That's exactly what I was thinking. Terminator 2 is all that need to be said.

Pulp Fiction.

Don't want to sound like an ass, but if there ever was a time to put an /thread at the end of a post, it is now.
Better than Schindlers list or Shawshank Redemption?

I really dislike these "best" threads, its all too subjective and so many things factor in that they are almost pointless.
Yeah, pretty much. By miles actually.

The Boondock Saints!
It also borders on the best film ever.
Best film ever? Maybe not, but an incredible film yes. How this movie flopped at the box office is anybody's guess. Bad advertising or the public wasn't ready for a South Boston film yet or something. Can't wait for the sequel, although without Willem Dafoe it won't be as good as the original.

It's fun to see the differences and similarities of the public. For instance in this thread, there are tonnes of people who are saying Pulp Fiction, but nobody mentioned Schindler's List until you. I'm still waiting for someone to mention a Kevin Smith movie or for someone to mention a film that was hated by everyone else like Spawn or Godzilla.

Besides, this isn't a best thread, this is a favourite thread. The best movie of the 90s is probably Schindler's or Shawshank or Titanic, possibly Green Mile.

Personally i think pulp fiction is over rated, id go with either Good Fellas or The Big Labowski. To each his own.
I think it deserves all the praise it gets. Shoulda won the Oscar for Best Film in '94, but then we all know the Academy sucks.

Forrest Gump did not deserve to win.

You are forgetting the gem that was Wing Commander, Freddy Prinz Jr and the peroxide guy from Scream ftw.

...

Sorry, I think I just coughed up a lung.

In seriousness, The Rock deserves a special mention as an eyeball pleasing action blockbuster, though I think I'd have to throw in 'A Few Good Men' as one of my top picks of the 90s. Tom Cruise versus Jack Nicholson firing on all cylinders, awesome.

For me, it's a tie between Resevoir Dogs and Fight Club.
I need as many references to the male reproductive organ as possible.

Wow! A lot of people share my opinion of Pulp Fiction. I would've guessed, though, considering it's an Oscar and Palme d'Or winner and is currently rated the 5th best movie of all time on IMDB (behind Shawshank, Godfather 1 and 2, and Good Bad and Ugly). Actually, come to think of it, where are the Shawshank fans on this thread?

Honourable mention to "The Big Hit"
I'm happy to hear that someone else liked that particular Marky Mark movie, but is that REALLY among your favourites from this decade?
why yes it is, its not MY FAV, hence I said "honourable mention", but its a really good film.

I guess Fight Club is my fav.

OK, I'll bite. CLERKS has to be my favorite movie from the 90's. Low budget, with plenty of laughs and it was Kevin Smith first foray into the Jay and Silent Bob mythos. Whats not to love?
