Pulp Fiction.

EDIT: Wish I had read all the replies... at least ten others say so as well. Wasn't just jumping on the bandwagon... best film ever, even though Tarantino just annoys me lately.

I cant believe that not 1 person has mentioned The Usual Suspects yet. Possibly the best ending of all time, the greatest plot twist. Its a classic. Bryan Singer and Christopher McQuarrie worked together perfectly as Director/Writer. other than Benicio Del Toro (who gives a great performance), the rest of the cast put together their best performances. I cant think of a better movie from the 90's

2nd place: Goodfellas
3rd place: Tie: Reservoir Dogs/American History X
Honorable Mentions: Schindler's List, Fight Club, Heat, Rounders, Tombstone, and Pulp Fiction

As far as I'm concerned, The Matrix is not only the best film of the 90s, it's the best film ever. Plot, pacing, cinematography... it's all genius. Shame about those damn sequels...

I also have a massive soft spot for The Crow. That was a properly dark comic-book movie, wih so much whup-ass.
I dont post often, but had to proclaim my love for the Crow, you sir are awesome.

As a product of the 80s, I grew up with 90s films. I saw the good (Pulp Fiction) and the bad (Meet the Deedles), the revolutionary (The Matrix) and the mundane (Fear), the over-the-top action (Con Air) to the run-of-the-mill suspense (Murder in the First), the old hands (Francis Ford Coppola) passing the torch to new blood (Kevin Smith). The 90s produced a very unique group of movies with several styles and memories to be cherished.

Okay, rant over... what I want to hear is: what is your favourite movie from this decade?
Shawshank Redemption. IMDB [http://www.imdb.com/chart/1990s] agrees with me.

Majority rule!

Hello again, AvsJoe.

Mine is Jurassic Park. Best fucking movie ever. If I was Yahtzee, Jurassic Park would be my Portal and Saints Row 2 amidst a sea of shit.

Pulp Fiction.

Don't want to sound like an ass, but if there ever was a time to put an /thread at the end of a post, it is now.
Better than Schindlers list or Shawshank Redemption?

I really dislike these "best" threads, its all too subjective and so many things factor in that they are almost pointless.
I agree.
I'd pick either Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption or The Matrix.

I'll say the best plot twist still belongs to The Sixth Sense, but The Usual Suspects had a great one. Keyser Soze is one of the greatest villains of all time. I also have to say that Se7en might be Kevin Spacey's best performance, but this was a close second. The rest of your list is awesome too. I haven't seen Rounders yet, but I'm a pretty big fan of Edward Norton, so I'll see it eventually.

Hello again, AvsJoe.
Umm... hi? I have one of those bad memories so don't be offended by my not remembering you. By your tone, I assume we had an argument on this site before.

I was the one in the metal thread, saying it's still alive and thrashing.

Ah. I've encountered you in both of my threads... I vow to make a third one day just to see if we meet again.

GLADIATOR! Best movie ever made!
Ummm... Gladiator was made in 2000. Unless you're talking about the Cuba Gooding Jr. Gladiator which was made in 92 or 94, but I doubt you are.
