I'm actually a much bigger fan of the "glorified mix tape" form of movie soundtrack than the score. Lately, my favorite soundtrack has been
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World!
The whole thing has this great punk rock energy to it, from Beck doing the songs for Sex Bob-omb
to the Black Lips...
to Broken Social Scene masquerading as Crash and The Boys
And I could go on. From the adorableness of Plumtree to classic shit from Frank Black and T fucking Rex. And then Metric as Clash at Demonhead... it's just a freaking good soundtrack.

Also, for being a visual orgasm that pretty much lacked a story (I did like it though because of said visual orgasm), Sucker Punch has an AMAZING soundtrack.

It may not be the best, but I think a special mention should be given to the Michael Bays Transformers soundtrack, sure, the movies were ass, but the soundtrack is actually pretty good, Here's the main theme, you will probably recognise it because it's actually been used in several commercials. (and the beginning sounds like the Batman movie Theme)
