Dude.. She's from New Zealand. You never, ever call a Kiwi an Aussie. ;Dmatnatz said:Yeah, Death Proof was bettter than Planet Terror by far and the Australian stunt woman in it was so incredibly attractive in so many ways.
Of the Monty Python films I've seen, none are heavily independent on special effects. Also, I thought the killer rabbit was a puppet...clicketycrack said:Which monty python are you talking about? You really wouldn't believe how many movies have CGI. Which is why I'm suprised half the movies here are posted. Little things like fitting a camera through a gap too small to make a really cool tracking shot can all be fixed with CGI. It's great, amazing. You have to stop thinking movies like Transformers or most Hollywood really. Those movies are made by people who go after the $$$. So the story was never compromised for CGI as there was no story to begin with.crypt-creature said:It would be great for a movie to have both, it's just that I see so many movies where they have compromised a good story for better CGI.PurpleRain said:Why compromise? Why not have both? CGI can be a way to tell a story. What if the story was to be set on the back of a snake flying through space, Special Effect are most definitly needed.
Having both would be lovely, but I'm not going to count on it happening for a lot of movies.
Though I was pretty impressed with the new Star Trek movie, and I'm not a huge fan of the franchise either.
They all had Special Effects. As for Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and Fight Club, I know these had CGI. Fight Club, maybe. Makes sense to do so. But it would have had a lot of post production editing.metroidgearsolid said:scarface! or shaun of the dead or hot fuzz or the good the bad and the ugly or fight club or pulp fiction have you noticed how most good movies have no special effects?
Also known as Special Effects. Guys head got hacked off in that scene too. A giant wooden rabbit fell onto a guy, cow launched in the air, and the Black Knight was torn assunder. SFX (I feel strange for writing it that way cause it could also mean Sound Effects) don't have to be CGI.TaborMallory said:Of the Monty Python films I've seen, none are heavily independent on special effects.
