In my film literacy class we saw Star Wars (it was episode four, but it was on VHS, so it was simply just Star Wars.)

I'm soo jealous of those of you who got to watch Gattaca and/or Blade Runner in class. The best movie they showed in class when I was in school was.... uh.... well it was wasn't very memorable.
We watched, "Don't be a Menace in South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" in English class, 9th grade year.
Hmm... for me, I got to see "Blade Runner" for English Class. And in French Class we saw two movies. One of them was something about a chicken and an egg that grew inside it (no idea of the title, and I don't recall any actual French in it, it was just some movie made in France) and I was in a permanent state of "wha...?" the whole time I was watching it. The second we went to an actual theatre to see, and it was in French with English subtitles, Again, I don't remember the name, but it was about this young kid who fell in love with this very much older woman (kid was maybe 9 or 10, woman was late 20's to mid-30's, and he went to buy Red Roses for her because Red Roses symbolize love, and she took them gratefully and asked if the Roses were from his father. And he totally froze up. That's all I remember of the movie. We also got to see Shogun (with Richard Chamberlain) in Social Studies class.
In my 11th grade econ and gov class we watched some WWI movie. I forgot what it was called but in the final battle the nerdy looking captain snapped this dudes neck. It was awesome. Then in the next year we watched Platoon and 300. I love the social studies classes.
at my old school we saw apocolypse now which was really good and the matrix which was ok... spent most of it txting my gf at the time lol, but yeah platoon is a goood movieCNKFan said:
The Dark Knight. We watched it in English because our teacher is a massive Batman fan and couldn't be bothered doing anything else because it was near the end of the year. Sooooooooooooooo good.
