What is the best music you have ever listened to in a game series?
For me, it has to be the Halo series, which is a big reason why I like it.

For me, it's the Final Fantasy series by default. Game music takes up about 90% of my music library. About 40% of that is Final Fantasy, and all of it is good. That's no small thing.
I can't choose one single series. It'd have to be one of these:
The Legend of Zelda games have many good and memorable tunes, particularly OoT, MM, and WW.
Metroid Prime had awesomely atmospheric music that helped to make each of the areas distinct and interesting.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 also had some brilliant tracks.
Finally, Super Smash Bros. Brawl had great music because it combined so many classic and iconic tunes into one game, as well as just some damn good music to fight to.

Silent Hill 1, 2 & 3. Akira Yamaoka is a musical God when it comes to making creepy white noise type music. The only good thing about seeing the horrific Silent Hill movie in the cinema was getting to hear his music being blasted at me from a cinema surround!
Halo, of course. I think the game itself is as big b ag of "meh", but the music is great. Also, that Kingdom Hearts song is kind of a guilty pleasure.
