Could you guys/girls recommend me a good musical?(After watching Sweeney Todd I have this strange craving for song based movies).
And considering this kind of a thread hasn't been done(pardon me if I missed, but I searched-bar it), what is the best musical of all times(in you opinion)?

Young Frankenstien.......actually it was the non musical, but if the musical is 1/2 as good then it would not be made by Mel Brooks.

I heard that....... rent, HSM, cats, 1000 cats, yatta yatt yatta, but all I ever saw was Phantom of the Opera and its was so good that people died the first time they saw it.
[sub] actualy that was due to the lights swinging across the theater looking like they were falling and giving people a heart attack.[/sub]

Edit: oh oh oh...... Family Guy.....yep.

Behold, ladies and gentleman, the majesty that is Blood Brothers!

Failing that, close calls go to Avenue Q and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Got some other favourites, but they're my top three.

Well that's a tough one, there a load of musicals that I have seen in my life, and a lot of them I personally hate. But if I were to choose the best one I've seen, it would probably be either 'Phantom of the opera' (the stage show, not the horrible movie remake with Gerard Butler) or maybe 'Sweeney Todd' since I am a fan of Stephen Sondheim musicals.

Oliver!

Condenses the human suffering of Oliver Twist into song! Also with dancing flower saleswomen! Act now and you will also receive a complete bastardization of the character of Fagin!

Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog for something actually good.

One that will forever leave my mind boggled is Rocky Horror Picture Show. With the memorable tunes as "Time Warp" and "Sweet Transvestite"

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. Aside from being exceedingly funny, it is a very good musical. Heck, "Blame Canada" even got nominated for an Academy Award (but lost to Phil Collins. Stupid Phil Collins).

Evil Dead, The Musical!

It's quite hilarious, and surprisingly accurate to the films.

It has song titles like "Do the Necronomicon", "Blew That ***** Away" and "What the Fuck Was That?"
Not to mention insane blood spraying and the truly heartfelt "I'm just a bit-part zombie"

Urgh, Oliver can go burn. Great book, horrible musical. Oh, and far too slow in the middle.

My vote goes for: The Wizard of Oz
Cats and The Phantom of the Opera can share the second place.
But all of those musicals stopped playing over 13 years ago.

Similarly, I'd go with Cannibal: The Musical.

That's about as "musical" as I get. -_-
