Let them. I didn't find it's story or levels good.

Why not just say single player? It makes it so much easier.

I shall simply say my favorite game. Shadow of the Colossus.

Shadow of the Colossus still remains to be the perfect single player experience in my mind.

For the worst?
Hell, probably Far Cry 2 at the moment. (This is a personal opinion, and as I've gone into detail about in many MANY threads, I shan't here)

Best: Half Life (cliched but I have to be true to myself)
Worst: Killzone. (The sequel drastically improved upon this aspect however. In fact it became better than Halo)

The best single player games are ones which aren't prepping you for the multiplayer mode.

In my mind, that puts conker's bad fur day quite high (I wish they'd make the sequel), or Mass Effect 2, but as to what is the best, I'd have to go for Zelda Ocarina of Time. There was just so much to it. The worst is unreal tournament. It's just an online prepping tool.

Mount & Blade, even Warband adds nothing to the Single-Player aspect, fair enough it's about your own choices in everything but no questline whatsoever leaves you to the same tedious building an army-slaughter all opponents process. Thankfully that is fun as smashing fruit with a selection of medieval weapons.

Best is Fallout series by far though, hopefully with development It will remain that as more content and possiblilities are added, then again the Elder Scrolls chain could return even better, just not bigger ( NO MORE FIELDS PLEASE! )

X-Com and Oblivion are amongst my Highest [ I enjoyed Fallouts 1+3 just not as much as Oblivion and i'd probably love Morrowind even more if I could get my arse in gear and Buy it ]

Worst would have to be Condmened II Then again the multiplayer wasn't very good either, seriously just don't get that game. Also Re:5 Which I just didn't enjoy, Don't know why i didn't enjoy it, I Just didn't find it Scary, or fun.

[My favorite has to be Resident Evil 4. So many awesome monsters and some awesome unlockables.
I still love the Chicago Typewriter and Handcannon.

The handcannon was on the Wii version of the game. It's a .50 cal revolver.

Ahh, I was gonna say this, for more or less the same reasons you did. Although, and this might be a stupid thing to say, I don't recall ever using a hand cannon...was it an unlockable?

As for my worst...I'm honestly not sure. It's been a while since I've played a game that I really hated. Guess I've been lucky.

Favorite: Mario RPG - (Was my first video game ever and I have lots of love for it!)
Least Favorite/Hated: FFX-2. (Just painful.)

I find it to be an impossible decision. Games differ too much from one another to pick one single player experience out from the others. Resident Evil REmake, Resident Evil 4 and Dragon Age: Origins are all contenders for the title, for vastly different reasons, but none leap out of me for the title of best.

For best, i've got a long list here of some "usual suspects," such as Fallout or Half-life, but while i'd agree with those, i'll add another: Mafia: City of Lost Heaven. I only played through it once, but that was one thoroughly impressive game.

I'm talking about the PC version, by the way.

Worst... I stay away from bad games. I'd have to say my least favorite (NOT worst) in recent memory would be Modern Warfare 2. It was not a bad game at all, but if I get embarassed to admit I play something, it's probably a bad sign.

The Halo series + Gears of War 1 & 2 make me sick to the bone for being so damn boring. both singe and multiplayer. Boring story, boring characters, boring environments, stupid gameplay, unbalanced AI, it just goes on.

Best single player experience? Metal Gear Solid (PSX). You can't beat the epic moments that I shared with that game back in the year of 1999.
