Avant-garde, that's a word I totally love to be associated with music ¬_¬
Music is pretty good, but the game looks kinda lame and samey.
Le Gasp!
Please tell me you didn't just call Otogi lame. If you played and enjoyed Demon's/Dark Souls and enjoyed them at all, then you owe the series an apology. The Otogi games are where FROM learnt how to do atmosphere and ambience. There isn't another game that I know of that's managed to carry off such a strong, dreamlike, haunting aesthetic.
Also, you totally get boss fights like this.
Ignore the numpty adding the needless commentary over the top.
In case it's not clear, the first boss battle is a fight against a renegade sorcerer amongst a series of islands floating in the depths of time and space above a supernova star. The second is a fight against a 100 foot nine-tailed fox amongst the clouds and atmosphere hanging over Japan.
Sorry, I'll stop hammering the point now. One day, we're going to have to have an argument to see whose Japanese mythology game is superior. If you've got an original Xbox, the two Otogi games are well worth checking out. If you imagine Okami crossed with Devil May Cry, with Dark Souls' storytelling sensibilities, you'll being to get an idea of how awesome these games are.
