That dick, I proposed at Disney Land first! No seriously, right under the magical castle while the fireworks went off. And I didn't feel the need to shout at a bunch of people to get applause either.

Seriously, this guy has balls. How much guts and effort would it take to pull this off?

As for discussion value, what other completly awesome things have you guys seen?

PS: I would've laughed so hard if she said no.
Is this fake?

Damnit! Suppose it's fairly hard to ignore that. and I was so happy for them and everything :(
My opinion of that just went from "balls of steel" to "utter douche"

I would say it would put the woman in an awkward position though, like you couldnt shoot someone down after that.

Yeah, the average boyfriend doesn't have a fantastic voice like that.

It sucks that this was staged. I really wanted this to be true.

I heard about some guy who did it over "Farmville". Quite frankly i would have said no.
Pfft Farmville, i expect to a proposal through World at war if it has to be done through Facebook.

"You've received 40 Tanks 10 Attack Helicopters and a ring as a gift" from such and such.
Oh wow, I can't help but feel sorry for that guy. Also, I can't help but laugh. She actually ran away!
Fuck the guy. It's like one of the commentators said, it's putting way too much pressure on the woman to say yes in the spur of the moment, without actually thinking it through.

Same with the Disney guy, after all that crap he did, I bet she couldn't help but say yes, regardless of what she might have been feeling.

Whatever happened to traditional romance? Making a giant public scene is idiotic in my eyes, marriage is something personal and the actual proposal should be something shared between the hopeful man and wife together, not with everyone else.
Doesn't it show dedication though that someone is willing to risk humiliation infront of such a large crowd? While I do agree it's unfair to put someone under so much pressure, it takes balls to do something like that.
It certainly does take balls to do that, but that doesn't mean it's the right way to go about asking someone to marry you. The guy might also be using the high publicity to try and get a yes out of his potential partner; I'm not sure how likely this is and it is a very cynical way to view it, but nonetheless I don't think that high publicity proposals are fair to the potential partner or the right way of going about asking someone to marry you.

As for the 'fake' video, if you're like me and want to keep believing it's true, just don't watch the 2nd video.

I kinda feel people who post 'fake exposures' to videos that were doing nothing but giving a feelgood moment to the viewers are just being cold and cynical anyways, just enjoy it and try to forget there's anything more to it. Fair enough if it's some feat of skill being cheated at, but if it's just something nice that's going to make people happy, let em believe :)

Yes, I looked at my username, and this post, and wondered who's controlling my mind, but I stand by it!

While I'm a fan of more traditional proposals, this one of the most elaborate and well thought out proposals I've ever seen. Also, he uses a wonderful game...

Even if it was fake, still great and good entertainment. Was that ImprovEverywhere?

I can understand that kind of proposal, though. No its not the kind of proposal you do for a girl whose very shy and does not like to be in the spotlight, but its the kind of act that shows that you arent afraid of people seeing you and knowing that you love your girlfriend. I like the idea.

That and even if ImprovEverywhere did this as an act, its something that makes the people around it a little happier, or at least smile

that's so awkward! i would NEVER want that to happen to me. whatever happened to the quiet, discreet proposal? if anyone ever asks to marry me (doubtful, but go with it), i WILL say no if put on the spot in front of tons of people.

Okay, touched as I am by all the effort that the guy clearly put into that, if I were in the girl's shoes I'd have been TOTALLY FREAKED OUT.

Games should not propose to you by name, that's just scary.

I was on my flight once back from Italy with my girlfriend and, i absolutely swear this is true, the Pilot proposed via the speakers to his G/F who was on the flight. She was italian and flying to England to see him. Thw whole thing was set up i should imagine. She had absolutley no idea what was going on. It was freakin' awesome.

...I would have said no just for the fun of it.
Ahhhhh, you have no romance in your soul... :p

Anyhoo, that was one of the cheesiest things I've ever seen, but as an old-fashioned romantic (not that it ever gets me anywhere :p) I say kudos to the guy. Really took some balls to do that, and I'm really happy for them. It'll be something fun to tell their kids and grandkids in years to come, at least :D
Well, this is probably why i dont have a boyfriend lmao.
But come on, you have to admit it would be pretty funny if after ALL OF THAT she was like "....im sleeping with your brother."
No?
